How to Make Giant Boeing 747-400 RC Plane Part 1

- I wanted to make Boeing 747 RC model since 4 years ago. I even had the nose section built but never got any further than that. That time the wingspan is still 3500 mm, but now it will be 4000 mm. If my calculation is right the weight will be around 4000 gram. Back then I just build the plane for fun, so I keep being bothered by works and other activities. But now I'm sure it will finish it in about 4 months. I will upload the progress every month and between every update I will make another RC plane model. So when the time for this Boeing 747 is finish, we will have 3 other new model planes too. I use 3mm foamboard for the skin and 5mm for the formers. The landing gear will be fixed and will use pusher prop motors as power plant.

I find it so cool that we used to have to build our rc planes, then came the foam revolution, and now home built planes are making a big comeback.

@@JuliusPerdana You can do it. There is a guy in the US named "PeterSripol" who did that, so it's possible and you can do it to for sure sir.
@@e30kitty in here it's more complicated than in US, we don't allowed to make "real plane" without certification. Not like in the US it's free when it's fall under ultralight category, here ultralight or not still need certification and it needs money.

invest in a 3d printer brother,you won't regret it.i was able to make my own EDF fot the T2 Buckeye that you designed and will be installing it once finished.you can create all kinds of things for these planes you build including the canopy as you can get clear filament for the printer.best of all the printers are now not so expensive,i paid around $250 canadian dollars and it was such a good investment

@@klitske we are all caught up with Julius’s videos! We had to make some changes which include adding retractable landing gear and instead of propellers we used EDFs
@@klitske oh and instead of using decals. We primed and painted it because the EDFs were giving so much thrust it could fly with only 2

How much money spent? Did it crash how long to build and how does landing gear work and adding pieces together
Foam safe adhesive? I cant see the brand name etc on the container...Julius whats the brand name and tech name for it pleaee. So i can try and find it or similar here in New Zealand....Laurie
it's without brand, just look for foam safe glue, like UHU Por or Gorilla glue
