⁴ᴷ MTA NYCT IND 8th Avenue Line: 21st Set of Kawasaki R211A's on the (A) Leaves 42nd St-PABT

On the 4th of July, Pitkin green lit the 21st set of R211A's, numbered 4270-4279 with both sets consecutively making up for this set, onto the A line alongside the rest of the fleet. This set specifically was debuted with the improved platform and FIND information graphics enabled, affecting the door lights, overhead symbols, and FIND LCD screens above the doors, in order to assist in navigation and improve passenger accessibility. This, so far, as been one of, if not the best feature given on the R211 fleet as a whole, with the R211T's that exclusively operate on the C line having debuted with this technology themselves since February 1st, and utilizing it ever since. This also goes for the R211A pilot sets, which have since been decoupled and mixed and matched with other sets for them to use the improvements as well. The R211A pilot sets were the first sets to use this, but were at first riddled with bugs and issues, that have since presumably been removed. It's expected that soon, every R211A, and eventually the R211S' will feature this software improvement tech to improve all riders commute navigating, as well as tourists and the disabled. #mtasubway #shorts
