About the best realistic looking and most affordable soft plastic craw there is. I fish it texas rig weedless and peg my sinker. Green pumpkin chartreuse or regular green pumpkin works good for me here in east Tennessee.
I rig it up as you 2nd and pop the tip of the hook into it slightly for weedless. At my local creek smallmouth can't resist them.
Also fishing it orange side up. The hook point is right there to snag everthing
what size hook did you use, and how heavy is that weight?
