Emax ES08maII genuine Vs fake

Genuine emax servo on the left from banggood. Fake one the right from AliExpress. The fake has deadband and about half the resolution, only 1 step for every two of the genuine. The fake doesn't centre very accurately either.

how much did the original cost? ive been seeing many of these servos for cheap and im afraid i might land on a fake one

The original ones are generally about £5 each, even direct from China. I buy mine from a reputable source now, to guarantee getting a good one.

You have a good fake. Mine are even worse: ua-cam.com/video/2XsDK5I2UGI/v-deo.html Also, It looks like a good indicator of FAKE vs ORIGINAL is the actual shaft shape. For original (shaft) I am referring to official EMAX illustration on their web.
Edit: Can You even run them @5V? Mine works strictly only @4.4V - Therefore with something like BEC @5V not usable.
