Woodburning A Cutting Board | Pyrography Project

I just recently started woodturning, this is only the second piece that I have done. I have learned some great techniques over the past few weeks but here's a tip for transitioning from pencil sketching to pyrography: You have to hold your hand much higher for pyrography than drawing regularly so I recommend putting something underneath your hand to keep the angle right at all times, I used a small container I had on my craft table that was the perfect height to keep my hand up in the air.

I used graphite paper to transfer my image to the wood and then I used my woodburning tool to burn the design into the wood.

@@nahidharb9515 Yes, since most of it will rub off while you are working and the rest can be washed off at the end. If you plan to use the cutting board regularly, I would suggest putting some food safe wax on at the end to protect the design from knives and scrubbing.
