I just bought a drag slash, tested everything on a stand first. I took it to the street and I launched it 3 times and on the 3rd time, the spur gear was shredded. I am not very happy about it but now I am not sure if I go metal or plastic. any help is appreciated.
I just bought a build with a 4.5 holeshot, and noticed that once I got right pinion on, and got it to turn on with a trans/receiver, it spun really fast, while blinking green. After a couple revs, I let off. When I pulled again, it clicks, but doesn't go, and ESC blinks red. Any idea why? I run brushless on everything, including dr10, 2 drag slashes, and 10 others, but no experience with brushed trinity.
I was thinking the same about corner scales. I'd love to know where the weight ratios come in at, and how well the principles translate from full scale into this world. Do they make split ratio shocks for these? (if not, lets fire up that lathe and work it out ;)
So im really new at this and i have drag slash completly stock, what r some tricks to getting this thing to go straight with the tsm turned all the way down? I want to upgrade mune but i want to learn more on controlling it b4 i start the upgrades. Ive moved spacers around in the rear shocks and its still driving hard left, i bought a toe gauge to get the wheels straight but the front wheels aint touching the ground that early in the run to make it.do what its doin. If i barely turn the tsm knob on it helps but i feel like that gotta be slowing it down a lil bit. Like i said im new just looking for some tips.
I wouldn't recommend a Mamba X for Drag Racing they have No Drag racing software, if you can wait it out Castles working on & developing an actual Drag Racing ESC that should be out shortly.. The Mamba X is ok for bashing but not for Hardcore Drag racing, it's not powerful enough & doesn't have the correct software for tuning, if you haven't bought anything yet, I'd recommend the DRK 160+ TSR EDITION DRAG RACE ESC or a Tekin Rs Pro Black or wait for Castle.. 💯🏁🤙🏽

I’m running a Revtech 5.0 w/ Mamba X cuz I thought 5.5T was the limit on the Mamba X. Well I learned something new thx 🤙🏾
My last setup in my slash converted to drag car did a best of 2.18 at 69mph. Reedy510r and motiv 3.5t .

my best so far was 2.13 at 72 mph in my drag slash w/ 76 t spur 40 t pinion 10 t motor & lots of radio & vehicle tuning 🤙🏽💯🏁

If you set proper gear mesh this doesn’t tend to happen. The little third world kids that assemble the truck don’t always set it properly.
I replaced it and meshed it myself. Its been working properly since.@@emersonb5764

Ive even had good luck with just 4 of the bigger harbour freight scales at once, little cheaper than the two legit scale systems out there.
