Hi! I recently started watching your channel and now I can’t stop!! I’m Korean but was adopted when I was 9mo and have lived in the US since. I would love to visit and see my roots! Thank you for your videos and giving me a glimpse of Korean life. ❤
I love Jeju Island!! I was there September 7 to 13 2024. Jeju Island is so beautiful and unique it reminds me of my home here in Hawaii. So rich in culture and traditions. I love the food and all the seafood there. The abalone, sea urchins, the horned conch shells, and others that I can’t even remember its name. And oh their black pork was so awesome. Jeju Island grows the sweetest tangerines I’ve ever tasted. I've been eating it every day since I arrived. I like how you see those stone walls everywhere! And the Dol Harubang statues. So much I’ve learned about Jeju island and so many places I have toured and visited. Even went on the ferry and toured Udo island, that was awesome too. I went to their Aquarium, their Water World, Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls, the Glass Museum, Hallim Park, and several Botanical Gardens. We even drove around the whole island. What really amazed me was that my friend/tour guide was born and raised there and that her mother who’s in her 90s was one of those Haenyeo female divers. Wow! I’ve seen documentaries about them and that blew me away! So much I want to share here, but there's too much. I will go back and continue my journey and adventure there next year. Jeju Island is like a hidden gem. Love your video. It just brings back my experience and memories. Com sa mi dah!
I have been to Jeju. It is very beautiful. I went to some of the places in your video and we met the women divers! I’ve been to Seoul five times. Absolutely love it. Thank you for bringing me back. I will be making some of your recipes! They look amazing.
@@Hmw202 Hi 👋 I think I saw an Osullac green tea store when I was in Busan (in one of the busy tourist area). NaverMap search it. And it looks like you can buy Osullac tea on Amazon/US! amzn.to/3U2ugw7 amzn.to/4eFjrbt amzn.to/3U3bkgE Have a great trip 🙏
My sis and I are planning to visit during the last week of June next year. I am wondering if the weather will be good then. Do hope you could recommend the prefect area to book a stay. 😊
@@wongwendy4325 Hi 👋 I would check the weather forecast in Google. I was there in June and the temperature was comfortable, not too hot. Because there are so many microclimates in Jeju, there are rain showers that come and go. As for lodging, all depends on your budget, as there are so many choices. As for location, I stayed near the airport, and walking distance to the restaurants
Thank you for sharing this video and information, definitely helpful for first-timers like me! I will be going to Jeju in May and I will reach out to Mr. Kim (I found him on Instagram!) If I may ask - where did you stay? Is it better to stay in Jeju City or Seogwipo? Thanks in advance!
@@cristinauy-foronda6947 Thanks 🙏. Both locations have plenty of things to do. I picked Jeju city because of its proximity to the airport. Please say Hi to Mr. Kim when you see him! Have a wonderful trip!
I've been wanting to go to Jeju Island above any other place in Korea since I first learned about it. (Also, comparing it to Hawaii is… complicated. I understand what you mean, but the history of Hawaii makes it… uncomfortable if you know how it became part of the US.)
@@Serenity_Dee Thanks 🙏. As for the comparison, I’m pointing out that like Hawaii which is an island known as the popular vacation destination globally, as Jeju island is also known as a popular vacation destination globally. As for its history, both islands, unfortunately, share of painful colonialism past for the islanders ancestors.
