Can we just take a moment to appreciate how Cass was always listening. R- "Cassandra listen," C- "I'm listening" literally done twice, Raps was singing for peace, Cass talking to be heard. She had been waiting this entire time for Rapunzel to return the favor. While Raps did say she wanted Cass to be more open with her feelings, their solutions to the issue will differ. What ever Raps would want to do, Cass likely wouldn't. That would drive the two farther apart because Raps would have the last say since she is a) a princess and b) Cass values their friendship. Cass has felt that she had to just bite her tongue and step aside for their friendship. So I love this whole song, there's so much to take from it. From her literally breaking the bridge between her and Raps, she waited even a little longer for Raps, and the lyrics themselves, I just- adskljkl it's beautiful.
Ahhhh finally someone understands my favorite Cass's emotions here. Bravo for this comment, I really wanted to see someone express this thought. In general, Cassandra has been coping with her life trauma so far by overcompensating, servitude and focus on being overly productive and functional. And, of course, a lingering hope of maybe finding her mom's approval... Or approval in general. Listening and serving and barely having any chance to be heard herself. Raps here is hearing what Cassandra is saying, but it's not genuine listening because the goal is not to truly understand the other person & find a compromise, the goal is to stop the conflict and make Cassandra conform. I think that both girls were very unfortunate to grow up in environments where there was no chance to develop an understanding of social dynamics and now this journey was their training grounds. P.S. I don't understand why people don't see why the line "We'll fix it together, me and you, just like we've always done" is condescending! Of course it is, because it takes part of Cassandra's sense of agency. A wise thing would be to say something like "I trust you, Cassandra, not to make a mistake here. You have always fixed things in your life. I know how capable you are." P.P.S. Neither Cassandra nor Rapunzel are at fault. This is family dynamics at play, and trauma work. If anything, it's not a conflict between the girls ( who are both extremely likable, I love them to bits! ), but a conflict of generational abusive patterns, dying out in this clash of the heroines' responses. Even if the trauma is not the same by type ( neglect + betrayal + lack of female role model in Cassandra's case and neglect + overprotectiveness + brainwashing/gaslighting + narcissistic abuse in Rapunzel's case )... This doesn't change the fact that BOTH girls are amazing winners in this battle. They won over their past pain. It's like healing from a virus. Not letting the cycle of abuse continue.
Rapunzel should’ve chosen her words a bit carefully. Like for Cassandra by the tone of her voice and her facial expressions you can see/hear that she’s not too sure “to become evil” but when Rapunzel said “wait” TWICE that’s when she lost it. When Rapunzel said “wait” for the first time in the song Cassandra was getting ready to leave and when she was at the other side of the bridge you can see that she wasn’t too sure if she should break the bridge but when Rapunzel said “wait” FOR THE SECOND TIME That’s when she really lost it! And for Varian first of all Rapunzel didn’t keep her “promise” so she broke her trust with Varian. And when Rapunzel and Varian were stealing The Sundrop Flower can see/hear that he’s not too sure “to become evil” and to steal The Sundrop Flower but when Rapunzel used the word “promise AGAIN! And since Varian had no trust left in Rapunzel he didn’t listen. And when Varian was trying to hurt Rapunzel he wanted revenge because of Rapunzel he LOST HIS FATHER! Like he said “If I can’t have a happy ending, then neither can you!”. You’ll think that since Rapunzel used the wrong words with Varian she wouldn’t do the same mistake with Cassandra, but no she DIDN’T! She did the same mistake TWICE!
Tbh... There is a "thing" that says Cassandra is gay a likes Rapunzel.. maybe her Betrayal of finding out she is Gothels true daughter made her TRULY REALIZE she can't have her..
First Varian got triggered with “I promise” and now Cassandra with “just wait”. Rapunzel really knows how to trigger her friends lol and also this song is amazing especially Cassie’s part
MarvelFan 25 -I mean, spending 99% of your childhood in isolation except for a chameleon and (sometimes) with your manipulative mother with lead to some social problems-
For those who doesn't understand why Cassandra triggers with "wait", the last song from season 2 she sang (Waiting in the wings) was about waiting for a chance to shine and having glory, but never really getting the chance. The whole character development for Cassandra that justifies her actions during the third season is about her giving up chances for Rapunzel's sake.
Chara MCnuggers she’s a princess by definition everyone’s is gonna live in her “shadow”. It’s hardly Raps fault that she’s a princess and was born with the power of the sun drop.
Yea, no matter how anyone else is feeling she is just happy and it can seem apathetic. Like, when has she said “I understand you, but this needs to stop” all she does is boss people around “no!” “Cassandra listen” “wait!” I mean, it makes her character interesting but I can see how other characters are like, you always get people to do what you want, you always win, and you can’t even look out for the losers. You can’t understand
Cassandra has a point about Rupunzel being condescending. She keeps saying listen and Cass responses by I’m listening multiple times. Not only that she keeps this steady tone as if she’s talking to a child.
I'm not sure I entirely agree with Cass's opinion that Rapunzel had privilege. She was stolen and trapped in a tower for her childhood and beyond. If Rapunzel had the power to help Cass, it feels like she would have. But Cass does have good points. It's just not as black and white as it seems.
@@Droemar I'm asking a serious question, 1.Dont call me a bitch 2. We're aware it's a cartoon. "Don't be an ass" I'm allowed to be baffled and confused about someone who clearly wasn't being rude or condescending being treated like such. I questioned it, I didn't scream to the heavens in protest. chill!
Classic rule of three: Rapunzel says Cassandra's least favorite word - *'wait'* - three times in this song, and the last time marks the point where Cassandra officially cuts her loose.

@@xempororhxppyx Yes, she didn’t know that Cassandra’s trigger word was “wait” until she used it for the first time in the song. And when she used it for the first time you can see that Cassandra’s trigger word is wait. So there was no need to use it for the second time.
@@Fluffadoodle Some friends are so close, you would think they were sisters just by looking at them. My best friend and I are the same way. We call each other sisters in everything but blood.
I actually really like the parallelism between Gothel leaving Cassandra and Cassandra leaving Rapunzel. They both left the thing they once loved and take a great power instead. They also both literally cut a bridge between them.
I want Idina Menzel and Eden Espinoza to do a duet together. Both of them were Elphaba in Wicked, and they both have SUCH powerful and amazing voices. Idina has that fragility to her voice that made movie writers LITERALLY rewrite their entire movie script because of it (yes, I'm talking about Frozen, go roll your eyes somewhere else) and Tangled has used Eden's powerful, confident vocals SO WELL. I just think they'd be so great if the Tangled songwriters and the Frozen songwriters got together to make a song for these two. Also, this song is the second best villain song in Disney history and I love it!
@@inactive6732I agree we really need this duet. When Eden voices Cassandra she sounds a lot like Idina. For me it would be a dream come true to hear them sing a duet.
...I was gonna say Open Up Your Eyes but it's not from this year :c (sorry I have to mention mlp at every chance I get, I'm just in denial of the show ending lol)
It really doesn’t sound or feel like a villain song. It’s more of a “Finally Breaking Free After Waiting All This Time” song. And in most villain songs you don’t think the villain is right in this song you do. Because, You really can’t blame Cassandra here. Throughout the series Rapunzel was always talking about her destiny. As if she was the only one who had a destiny. She of course cared about the others but it was mostly about her (Rapunzel). As if Rapunzel saw the others as her helpers. In 1:17 I think Cass was trying to explain this.
I love how “No, I won’t wait” is usually a line that would be yelled very loud, yet cass is really calm. Kind of like in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, when Umbridge says “Bombarda Maxima”.
True, but her powers and charisma always allowed Rapunzel to get more attention while Cassandra, even though her abilities allowed to get some moments of glory, always lost them some time later for Rapunzel.
"And I'm done holding back. So look out, clear the track. It's my turn" Admit it, that gave you flashbacks to Let it go I feel like Cass is what Elsa would have been if she's been a villain Just twist this a little bit and Elsa's need for self expression could very easily have turned into something similar to this - like just a lot of pent up hurt and frustrations making them try to isolate themselves
When I was watching this, I had the thought that it was very villan-Elsa-esque. The way Cass brings the black rocks up from the ground after she leaves makes them almost look like dark icicles. She dancing, strutting her stuff and running away from her 'sister' that just wants them to be friends - it definitely feels like a dark version of Let it Go and I love it.
To be completely honset. I want Cassandra and Rapunzel to make amends and be friends again, but like ANY WORD BUT "WAIT" WOULD HAVE WORKED. Like Rapunzel should have seen this coming, Cassandra's anger was building up and Rapunzel never asked if she was fine... Or noticed Cass was okay.
Well that's technically not true, since Rapunzel does notice Cassandra was feeling angry and they were starting to drift apart a bit and we do see Rapunzel trying to talk to Cass about two times, in the Great Tree and Rapunzel: Day One. Yeah different problems then the main one festering inside Cassandra but if Cassandra really wanted to talk to Rapunzel about and make things better with her and Rapunzel's friendship then she should've brought up her true feelings in those moments and tell Rapunzel how she was being condescending(since Rapunzel never intentionally means to come off as rude to her friends or treat them badly, she was stuck in a tower for 18 years with Gothel being her only human interaction, Cass honestly has the better childhood, so Rapunzel would just say things and not think they would negatively affect her friends) why Cass should've brought it up to Rapunzel so she would know and try to not do that anymore.
@@lavenderrose82 Cass didn't have it all that great either as a child. She got rejected by her mother - Gothel literally left her behind. And her adoptive father, the captain, we have seen on multiple occasions in the first series that, whilst he loved Cass, he was not very emotionally supportive and we can assume that this is how he has raised Cassandra. It's likely that being raised this way, Cass never made friends both out of fear of rejection and the lack of social/emotional development. Sure, Rapunzel was locked away for 18 years and was as socially and emotionally hopeless as Cass was. But, in Cass's (also damaged, also abused, also lacking) eyes, Rapunzel got everything she wanted. Rapunzel could make friends in a heartbeat, Rapunzel had a voice that was heard, Rapunzel was respected despite her status. These are things Cass always wanted and never had; here she is angry for that because she has been wondering if Gothel had kept her, would she be happy? But she'll never know. Cass was raised supplementing violence for emotional control. This is likely due to being the captains daughter; being around all those weapons, it must have been an easy solution to pick up a sword when she was sad or angry and start slashing a dummy. I'm not saying Rapunzel had it any easier growing up; I'm just saying that, to Cass, as soon as Rapunzel gets home, Rapunzel gets everything she wants and Cassandra is still left longing - still left without respect, without a voice.
@@CJ-pp6vy yeah, but I still say she acted delusional and stupid for most of season 3. I can give her a pass after seeing the memory of Gothel since she was in a emotional spot and would have easily listened to what the ghost girl said and took the moonstone and betray Rapunzel. But I feel that Cass is smart enough to know when she's being used(Andrew for example, since she played him) so the reason she never questions the ghost girl's intentions on why she was helping her so in return Zhan Tiri would've said something to convince Cass she was on her side, I felt that would've made it believably. As for Gothel, why wouldn't she eventually realize on her own terms that Gothel never loved her or Rapunzel? Yeah she never saw how Gothel raised Rapunzel but it should've been well known or at least she possibly overheard the Captain and Fredric talking about Rapunzel's hair and why that was the reason she was taken, and it most likely would've happened when she was still young, she could have also heard about Gothel and Rapunzel's kidnapping from other people in Corona. She would've grown up knowing Gothel was a bad person, not to mention Gothel was dismissive of Cass in the memory Zhan Tiri shows Cass. Again I think she's smart to realize that Gothel never loved her. And finally, Cassandra refusing to acknowledge herself as a villian. I mean I'm fine with her thinking that before Cassandra's Revenge but in that episode she willingly tries to harm Rapunzel and her friends, Zhan Tiri never told her to do that, Zhan Tiri is only responsible for planting the seeds to set Cass on this path. I do love Cass but I liked her a lot better in season 1 cause i feel she was a lot smarter. I feel like most of season 3 her character got dumbed down for the sake of the story. I mean this just my opinion though, Cassandra still awesome I just don't like the way she was written in recent seasons.
@@lavenderrose82 I see where you're coming from and I can't say I'm not a little biased in that Cassandra is my favourite character. But she clearly has abandonment issues - I've seen kids like this in real life and it's quite shocking how far some of them will go to obtain 'love' or 'acceptance' or 'respect' - or at least their own deluded version of it. I get that Cass is kind of a jerk for not remembering all the pain Gothel put Rapunzel though but when Zhan Tiri plants that seed in her mind that Gothel wanted Rapunzel more than she wanted Cass. Cass sees Gothel's obsession with Rapunzel's hair as love; as a child all she wanted was her mother's attention. Cass wrongfully translates Gothel's obsession and attention on Rapunzel as love because when Cass was a child, attention was love; all she wanted was her mother's attention (love) and Rapunzel got all the attention. Despite the fact it was abusive attention (and some of the kids I've worked with have shown this), it still translates to them as love. This is because they would even have desired negative attention from their parent/guardian if it meant they were getting any at all.
@@user-sb5bh6qy6l nah she did condescend even if her intentions were good. But it's not her fault, honestly she's so sweet after all that happened to her,. Those vocals are insane, Eden needs an award. I want Varian and Cassandra to do a duet SOOOOO badly. For the vocals, character development, and other things. (Like my Carian ship...)
This thematically feels like Defying Gravity from wicked and I LOVE it. Both songs start of with an argument between the two leads then the solo sung by the "villian" which is essentially their "I Wish" song. And it totally helps that Eden Espinosa played Elpheba on broadway LOL

I know it might be weird to say but I kinda wanna say I'm oddly proud of Cassandra, Twords the end of the song I've never seen her look so free. Shes taking charge of who she is and finding her own destiny instead of waiting for someone to give her the chance. Sometimes you cant wait around for others an you just have to as what rapunzel would say "set yourself free" I know shes the villain and went about it the wrong way but I still give her a little credit.
It's like what I heard in owl house "Some people wait for their chance to have a way (or something like that) and either they die waiting so I proud you make your own way instead of waiting for it to find you"
I like how Cassandra doesn’t like the word *wait* And Varian doesn’t like the word *promise* Edit: OMG This is the first time i got over a 1000 likes!😃 Thank you!😄

I just love how Cass says "I'm listening" the second time. You can hear her angry tone. Because the fact that Rapunzel repeated "listen" prove that she was herself not listenting the first time Cass said she was listening. In fact, that's a great way to quickly show how Rapunzel is actually the one who never listen to her.
This song just shows how hurt Cass is from being rejected and pushed around, for not being able to redeem herself and it's sad because shes just hurt and she wants something for herself, something that she was trying so hard at and couldn't achieve because of other people and Rap (like in season one Challenge of the brave). Fact that Rap was her best friend and Cass was hoping for more consideration from her and understanding, but when Rap didn't see it until she was angered or they had some fights and it hurt Cass. Rap wasn't seeing things through Cass's point of view and even in that episode, it angered Cass because she's been trying hard and Rap just waltzes in. This happened multiple times and it hurt Cass as well because as a best friend Rap should be trying to understand Cass and see things from her point as well. At this point, I honestly think Cass has a good reason to be hurt this way and to react this way. Throughout the series, I was wondering when Cass would snap because it's unfair for her and the last moment or straw was after she saw her mother leaving with the baby. I don't think she blames Rap for Gothel leaving Cass for the princess, she's hurt because her mother has denied her and Rap doesn't always consider Cass's position and point of view. In conclusion, Cass is just deeply hurt by many things and she wants a chance for herself, she's hurt, unsure and she wants to reach what she was working hard for and people casting her aside because of her position. I don't think she's being irrational, I would say she's pain driven and it was in the moment when she acted on it. I feel for Cass and I don't really blame her for snapping the way that she has, I just hope that throughout the series she's going to redeem herself or she's going to understand and others are going to help her get through the pain that she's in. Cass is an amazing character and I wouldn't want the series to end it with her going off like that, I just hope everything is going to end good. (This is my opinion and thoughts about this so far)
What are you talking about she had it better then Rapunzel. She had freedom, she had love, she had encouragement, she wasn't taken away from her loving parents.
Of Course You Can Pay Me In Gum ... This is the new "Let It Go" song 🎵 that is going to be stuck in my head.... Sorry replay button 😅▶️🔁... "Let it Go" and "Crossing the Line" focuses on "hero-like" songs of would-be-villain's perspectives 😊 Notice how Disney nowadays is flipping the coin by focusing on "would-be-villains" & their struggles: 👿 Maleficent , was normally seen as a villain 'cause she cursed Princess Aurora 👸🏼... Maleficent's story was rationalized so audience can see her "human" or "good" or "justified" side: "What was the reason she cursed Aurora? Oh, it's because she was betrayed, her wings (that is, her dignity/pride) were forcefully taken from her." ❄️ Queen Elsa - Another "would be villain" & it is spelled out in "Let It Go" lyrics: - "No right, no wrong, no rules for me... I am free..." - "That perfect girl is gone..." ⚪️ And now we are seeing Cass' story. I think we are fortunate to get Rapunzel's Tangled Adventures series so we can thoroughly see Rapunzel's, Eugene's, Varian's, & Cass' character developments. So far, season 3️⃣ shows me these characters are very dynamic: 💇🏼♀️ Rapunzel makes mistakes despite audiences (particularly little girls) seeing her as the protagonist. 👩🏻🦱Cass wants liberation cause she doesn't want to stay as Rapunzel's shadow. 👨🏻🔬 Varian wanted to wipe Corona citizens' memories so he can start fresh... Tangled the Series is a Broadway musical shown to younger audiences on television 📺. I would give it a perfect 🔟 ⭐️s . 😊

@@dionysos46 I think it's in part due to the fact that Eden is broadway and so is Varian to an extent. So you have these big broadway singers for side characters turned villains juxtaposed with pop singing protagonists and that aids in the weirdness of it all. @@MinisDunyasi5 Rapunzel is the Crown Princess and will one day rule Corona. That's not an if, its a fact. Socially, Rapunzel will stand above Cassandra. Rapunzel is also more powerful. Her full sun powers are shown to be stronger than Cassandra's moon power. Cassandra is physically more powerful than Rapunzel. Normal, since she was raised by an experienced soldier who likely taught her to fight from a very young age. Rapunzel spent 18 years with a psychologically abusive parent while Cassandra spent 18 years with a strict but loving parent. In general, Rapunzel had it worse. People favor Rapunzel because people tend to favor those who treat them kindly. Rapunzel is a kinder and more open person than Cassandra, who tends to be more reserved and standoffish. That doesn't make Cassandra unkind, the kindness just comes slower and less spontaneously than Rapunzel. People will be drawn towards the happy personalities and will favor them. That's just how people are. Rapunzel is a future ruler, her powers are stronger and used in a better way, her personality is kinder and more open to people... I stand by my point that Rapunzel is better, in general, than Cassandra. So what? I have friends who are better than me.
@@Ares99999 I think in the show people see Rapunzel better overall. And You do have good points. But when you really think about it you really can’t blame Cassandra here. Big mistake for Repunzel to tell her to "just Wait" coz Cass has been waiting her whole life for her chance they could have worked it out and Cass probably would have considered Repunzel's words if she wouldn't of said just wait goddamn it
Rapunzel should’ve chosen her words a bit carefully. And when Rapunzel and Varian were stealing The Sundrop Flower can see/hear that he’s not too sure “to become evil” and to steal The Sundrop Flower but when Rapunzel used the word “promise” AGAIN! And since Varian had no trust left in Rapunzel he didn’t listen. You’ll think that since Rapunzel used the wrong words with Varian she wouldn’t do the same mistake with Cassandra, but no she DIDN’T! She did the same mistake TWICE!
I always thought it was: "And for us since we're over the tide...I'm crossing the line!" But hearing how it's: "And for us, if we're over, that's fine!" It makes it all the more sad and hear wrenching. It basically means that Cassandra is telling Rapunzel that she doesn't even care if taking what she wants means that they aren't friends anymore. She's willing to drop her just like that.

You’ll think that since Rapunzel used the wrong words with Varian she wouldn’t do the same mistake with Cassandra, but no she DIDN’T! She did the same mistake TWICE! But, I don’t think that Rapunzel meant to be condescending, abusive and having little to no empathy on purpose. Rapunzel was raised and lived with Mother Gotel for 18 years. And Her Mother was condescending, abusive and had little to no empathy to her. So as a result Rapunzel became condescending, abusive and had little to no empathy to her “friends”. But Rapunzel lived in Corona and had human interaction and made some “friends” for some time but the real problem is that she still didn’t become less condescending, abusive and having little to no empathy. If anything she got EVEN MORE CONDESCENDING! Rapunzel really didn’t have much, if any character development, unlike the rest of the characters, Like Rapunzel’s Father, The King and Eugene they trusted Rapunzel and trusted her and that she can look after herself and doesn’t need someone to protect her. And Cassandra’s Father, The Captain Of The Guards, understood what Cassandra actually wanted to do, he trusted her and that she can look after herself and doesn’t need someone to protect her And for Rapunzel NOTHING! She had little to no character development. I get that Rapunzel wasn’t raised the right way but she really didn’t have much if any character development. And that’s her fault. You can’t choose the one who’s gonna raise you but it’s up to you to improve yourself. And Rapunzel didn’t even do that
@@MinisDunyasi5 I won't say she had no character development at all. I mean, on this particular subject, not really, but when I remembered season 1 when I really couldn't stand her, she must have improved a bit. But she really didn't learn how to chose her words, that's for sure.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how Cass was always listening.
R- "Cassandra listen,"
C- "I'm listening"
literally done twice, Raps was singing for peace, Cass talking to be heard.
Cass stopped listening because Rapunzel didn't listen to her when she listened to Rapunzel in this song. Truly meaningful
I know how capable you are."
I felt that “adskljkl”

For those who doesn't understand why Cassandra triggers with "wait", the last song from season 2 she sang (Waiting in the wings) was about waiting for a chance to shine and having glory, but never really getting the chance.
The whole character development for Cassandra that justifies her actions during the third season is about her giving up chances for Rapunzel's sake.
I don't know if waiting in the wings or crossing the line is better

Yea, no matter how anyone else is feeling she is just happy and it can seem apathetic.

I feel like Cass is what Elsa would have been if she's been a villain
Just twist this a little bit and Elsa's need for self expression could very easily have turned into something similar to this - like just a lot of pent up hurt and frustrations making them try to isolate themselves
The directors of Frozen we're going to make Elsa the villain at first.
@@CJ-pp6vy I never fully noticed that but you’re right. The way she uses the rocks and dances on them does seem quite Elsa esque

For the vocals, character development, and other things. (Like my Carian ship...)
@@cristinaflanagan5323 I hate that ship. Varian is WAY to young for Cass. I ship Varian with Alchemy. XD And Cass with Andrew.

Fun fact: in Next Stop Anywhere, Rapunzel sings about how she's "gonna cross every line".

“And For Us, Of We’re Over That’s Fine!” That line always gives me goosebumps ♥️♥️
This thematically feels like Defying Gravity from wicked and I LOVE it. Both songs start of with an argument between the two leads then the solo sung by the "villian" which is essentially their "I Wish" song. And it totally helps that Eden Espinosa played Elpheba on broadway LOL
It’s a very interesting choice by the composer to make this song sound very heroic as opposed to villainous.
i swear to god every single time i have goosebumps when cass sings "and for us if we're over that's fine"
ugh i love cassandra so much she deserve the world please give her a happy ending :(
I think she might be planned to be redeemed.
But You really can’t blame Cassandra here. Throughout the series Rapunzel was always talking about her destiny. As if she was the only one who had a destiny. She of course cared about the others but it was mostly about her (Rapunzel). As if Rapunzel saw the others as her helpers. In 1:17 I think Cass was trying to explain this.
2:17 does anyone else hear a little bit of ‘Let It Go’ here? I swear it sounds like the part of the song where the castle is being built
Same🤗🤗😀😀
yes really you are right! how did you notice that? 😮
For me its sound like "let it go" +"defying gravity " with some "the wizzard and i"
I know it might be weird to say but I kinda wanna say I'm oddly proud of Cassandra, Twords the end of the song I've never seen her look so free. Shes taking charge of who she is and finding her own destiny instead of waiting for someone to give her the chance. Sometimes you cant wait around for others an you just have to as what rapunzel would say "set yourself free"
I know shes the villain and went about it the wrong way but I still give her a little credit.
And then she takes over the kingdom and hurts a lot of people. Freedom. Yay.
It's like what I heard in owl house "Some people wait for their chance to have a way (or something like that) and either they die waiting so I proud you make your own way instead of waiting for it to find you"

Well she just shows that she us being selfserving, Rapunzel get stolen, abused and isolated for 18 years ans still now is strugling she just dont complain or hold grudges, while Cass got rescued, rised with love and got lot more freedom and guidance.

Rapunzel was kidnapped but she didn’t know that she was kidnapped so she was happy. Also I don’t think Rapunzel went through as big of trauma then Cassandra and Varian. Rapunzel was healed pretty quick from Mother Gothel. Because when she came to Corona everything was handed to her almost everyone loved her. Also she knew that Mother Gothel was evil so she didn’t mind her dying and leaving her. While Cassandra had to go through childhood trauma. Cassandra did her chores and waited for her Mother. And when her Mother left her after Cassandra waiting for her for so long, Must have been traumatizing. If anything she got EVEN MORE CONDESCENDING! Like When you think about it you really can’t blame Cassandra and Varian for “going evil”. Cassandra was constantly dragged by Rapunzel and Rapunzel was always condescending. And Varian LOST HIS FATHER! Because of Rapunzel! Varian only wanted to bring his Father back to life, that’s why he “became evil”. If Rapunzel actually kept her “promise”, she couldn’t leave the kingdom at that state but she could’ve sent some guards with him Varian’s Father wouldn’t have died. And as a result Varian wouldn’t have “gone evil”.
And Rapunzel was always condescending with everyone. Seeing herself as “blessed” and ONLY HER having a “destiny”.
If Rapunzel acted right no one would’ve “gone evil”. So you really can’t blame Cassandra and Varian.
And Rapunzel should’ve chosen her words a bit carefully.

Rapunzel really didn’t have much, if any character development, unlike the rest of the characters,
Like Rapunzel’s Father, The King and Eugene they trusted Rapunzel and trusted her and that she can look after herself and doesn’t need someone to protect her.

That first line uhhhh why is it so good I have never heard her sing like that before would love a song with a feel like that the whole time
I know! I love the beginning of the song!
So, this is essentially what Let It Go would have been if they had decided to go with the original plan in making Elsa actually evil.
This is the darker version of Let it go and For the first time in forever.Disney you keep topping yourselves with these amazing songs and singers.
She didn't listen to her about Adira, the evil tree, or even the hurt incantation so Cass had a right to be pissed off.
Well said. I completely agree! I do think she will be redeemed and I'm excited to see just how that happens :)
What are you talking about she had it better then Rapunzel. She had freedom, she had love, she had encouragement, she wasn't taken away from her loving parents.

This was by far one of Cassandra's best moments
This just became the new “ready as I’ll ever be”
Crossing The Line > Let It Go
Sorry, not sorry. Frozen 2 better bring it hard. 🤷🏻♀️
Of Course You Can Pay Me In Gum ... This is the new "Let It Go" song 🎵 that is going to be stuck in my head.... Sorry replay button 😅▶️🔁...
"Let it Go" and "Crossing the Line" focuses on "hero-like" songs of would-be-villain's perspectives 😊
Notice how Disney nowadays is flipping the coin by focusing on "would-be-villains" & their struggles:
👿 Maleficent , was normally seen as a villain 'cause she cursed Princess Aurora 👸🏼... Maleficent's story was rationalized so audience can see her "human" or "good" or "justified" side: "What was the reason she cursed Aurora? Oh, it's because she was betrayed, her wings (that is, her dignity/pride) were forcefully taken from her."
❄️ Queen Elsa - Another "would be villain" & it is spelled out in "Let It Go" lyrics:
- "No right, no wrong, no rules for me... I am free..."
- "That perfect girl is gone..."
⚪️ And now we are seeing Cass' story. I think we are fortunate to get Rapunzel's Tangled Adventures series so we can thoroughly see Rapunzel's, Eugene's, Varian's, & Cass' character developments.
So far, season 3️⃣ shows me these characters are very dynamic:
💇🏼♀️ Rapunzel makes mistakes despite audiences (particularly little girls) seeing her as the protagonist.
RIGHT IVE BEEN SAYING THIS IS TOTALLY LET IT GO 2.8
Into the unknown starts promising, but it looks to ridiculously try too hard in use of ear damaging treble notes... When Eden voice can be pitchy, but more listenable. Make your own opinion, with your own auditive health.
@@dionysos46 I think it's in part due to the fact that Eden is broadway and so is Varian to an extent. So you have these big broadway singers for side characters turned villains juxtaposed with pop singing protagonists and that aids in the weirdness of it all. Because you don't expect such a loud and strong voice to come from a seemingly not main character.
