Ferrari's design has actually been on fire since they moved to their new design language with the SP1 & SP2. The cars that use it all look pretty good SF90, Roma, 296 and now this. The BR20 still has relics of the old language so doesn't look as good.

actually i think like who does a job like ferrari? Who builds working Sportscars since such a long time in what a quality. Everyone looks different everyone is brave and at least motivating to look at. I love that brand.

Ferrari is doing a very good job of modernizing their cars in their own elegant way stylewise. I also like that they use horizontal headlights instead of the verticle ones they have been using over the last 15 years. But that's my taste.

    • @fifteen8850
      @fifteen8850 3 роки тому +2

Idk about that. I think the BR20 doesn’t have such “over complicated” looks. I honestly think it looks like a “true” Ferrari grand tourer.

i would still prefer the Dino over the 296, i like the monza sp1 and sp2, i like the roma (for its simplicity), and i think the J50 is underrated, these are the only recent ferrari designs i like, what i don't like in the daytona sp3 is the front grill, i don't like the slats both sides of the front, although i actually like the slats in the rear side of the car, i wished those slats continued to the sides like the 7 slat air intake in the side of a ferrari testarossa tr12..

The way they recreate the pop-up headlights is so clever. They made it in a way that it doesn't affect the aerodynamics of the car while it reminisces the past. Ferrari's design here is more creative than what Lamborghini did to the new Countach.

(I ve watched your video about the 2020 z4 redesign but you were talking about the flame surfacing etc of the e85 for about 2-3 minutes. I think this modern classic deserves a video on its own).

The rear is more Ferrari 250 P5 than it is 330. I think it’s a mash up of multiple prototypes which actually looks a bit of a mess than a simple flowing design of the PF days. Stunning it is but also a bit of an eye sore. Maybe it will grow on me or it’s heavily spec dependent.

couldnt agree more. This is not merely modernizing by sharpening a series of existing design elements. This is reinterpreting iconic design elements and introducing a new perspective. This work is sculptural and layered. The more you look at it and the more you discover clues from the past, but not in a copy and paste kind of way. They managed to achieve an overall balance despite having some quite striking design elements.

Mmmm... I pondered your review for quite some time Marouaene. Me thinksI have to say a thing or two....
The Jim Glickenhaus' Paninfarina designed Ferrari P4/5 does FAR more justice as a retro design of the 330 P3/P4. The lines are undeniably all there without any imaginitive analysis.
You look, you see Ferrari P4/5
You look, you see Ferrari 330 P4
Even Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said "Bellissimo" at Paninfarina's design on the P4/5. I am not to sure Enzo would have done so looking at the Daytona SP3. Scaglietti would probably cough out loud and Paninfarina would have trouble clearing his throat.
Nah.... the nose of the SP3 is a double chinned blunder and the tail end has no Ferrari character whatsoever, even if you can read Testarossa between the lines. Now in my home I also have a Testarossa and what's more, she agrees!
I remember standing at the launch of the Ferrari 458 Italia and the lines just flowed and flowed!
So pardon me if you have to, but we find the Daytona SP3 being a bit like chewing on an old Bertone toffee.
Well, you have gained a new subscriber Mr Bembli! 🏎

The body of a 328 with P330 styling, LaFerrari doors, and Testarossa vanes.
The SP3 Daytona has an unabashed tail section. The point on the front end is accentuated by the car looking like it is being tipped on its nose by the rear.
The BR20 has a truncated rear end. The sculpting cues of the rear panels under mine the overall body proportions.

I found three more references to past Ferraris: the horizontal/square-ish lights that aren't LED resemble the non-pop up headlights of the F40. The LED strip following the horizontal line of the front fascia is a hint of the F50's foglights The front vents are a restilization of the nostrils of the F50/Enzo cuz of downforce although they could've been borrowed from the Maserari MC20. I think manufacturers only make special limited cars that'll only be most likely be purchased in countries where regulations isn't that strict , but when they mass produce cars they have to cater to everyone and have to comply to every rule of every country and make each car as close to each other as possible but also be road legal in every country and also because people these days want technology and amenities and people want limited production vehicles , i bet if a country pops up that makes 60's racecars like the Ferrari's and Maserati and Alfa Romeo's of that time there would be a select group of people that'll purchase them that knows the significance of those sort of cars , the problem is the consumer not the manufacturer

To me, it just looks like someone crashed into the side of a LAF, some wanted to repair it by strapping a Nissan gtr front bumper to it, an having some rear end to it which was shredded. Really don't like it

The problem to me are the details, the sculpt is great but they throw too much cuts that makes no flow with it. I feel the same way about the laferrari

@@marciliojunior4919 I see your point, but for me, less details would give him so much an electric aspect, even he is at least a bit present here. But I agree with you those details are so badly done. the air intake behind the 1st wheel is awful...
And bro do you really like the sculpture from the side? It's awful too, lines doesn't correspond to each other, there is a problem with the surface treatment.

@@iivill9076 if the skirt was body colour instead of carbon it wouldnt look so weird, i do agree it should be a lot softer on the door section but if the graphics were toned down it would work

This isnt the successor to the LaFerrari tho right? It would need more hp and less weight imo - maybe hybridization again...

Sadly the laferrari successor won’t be a v12 probably as they said it will be weaker than the sf 90 and focus more on weight and aero. Such a BS to be honest. The top Ferrari needs to be a v12

It's nice but the problem with these new Ferraris, is the height of the top of the body above the wheels. It looks great on the computer images, but or the road from the videos, it looks weird.

Though I also really like the design, I will always prefer roundish backlights. This is beatiful, but not not Ferrari-like enough. When seeing it during the night imo you cannot tell if it is a Porsche eg.

BR20 looks like a part of the BMW design family. That they chose to show it in silver even reinforces that.

I like everything, but the exhaust/rear diffuser set up. It just juts out too far from the rest of the rear for my liking.
