How do you apply this to a multi-layer approval as shown in the vid "approvals v2" to show response info from all the approvers? Thanks a lot for all the great vids!
I like the video you guys did. 1) Are you able to set up reminder emails if you use "start and wait for approval" and 2) send a reminder email to one of people if they did not take action
Hi Jon, this is simpler than the original method! What this doesn't give you though is how to link the responses to a SharePoint List? Plus how would you separate the responses in the list to business areas (ie design, manufacturing and sales)
Hi @jon, I am stuck with one issue. Below is the scenario: I got all the responses using response summary but the problem I am facing is that in "start and wait for an approval" with "everyone must approve" user will get all the response only after all approvals are done. So in between if I want to know where that approval process is stuck or like what is the status of the approval(who has already approved and who are yet to approve.) That I am not able to display. Suppose there are 8 approvers, is there a way that we can show or highlight that those many have already approved and those people have yet not started approving, in between? Please let me know
I have same issue, I need to send to 10 people and know when each of them has responded instead of being stuck. I could not find solution using approval or using email with options. My workaround was to create 10 parallel branches and to set the person name and emails at beginning of flow in variables to make this more maintainable. But I hate this approach and think there should be a better way. I see that others have same issue. This might just be a limitation of power automate (@jon?)
Thanks for the video! I was working in power automate when a new response is submitted, everything works fine but I am having some issues with the email notification. The system once the form is approved by the managers is sending 4 emails duplicated. Maybe you can help me resolve this issue. I think that it has to be with html table created, so I set up the concurrence control to 1 in Apply to each. But still I am receiving 4 approval notifications of the same email.

This is nice for simple emailed approval comments, but the html encoded comments don't look good in SharePoint or anywhere that won't render the HTML tags.
Hello! Excelent videos. Im a super biginner in flows and these video helped a lot. Is it possible to condition the approval to a specific response in forms? Example, If I select an "X" department in the form, to send the approval to an specific person, and If I select "Y" send it to another person? I hope you could help me with that. Thanks in advance, greetings from Dominican Republic.
if its sharepoint, then yes all you have to do is create a list of the departments and the people there. then use the condition in flow based on the columns in your list e.g(if(department) equals to X) then start and wait for approval, you can then include the dynamic content containing the field of the person in that department from your sharepoint list
Perfect solution to what I was looking for! I'll be using Select more often!
Glad to hear it!
I deffo see the potential use in a multi person approval process. Little bit harder in the "first one to respond" scenario. Great vid!
Love this!
