All great coverage - Just a shame it feels like we are going to be slightly disappointed with what Samsung has to offer come July the 10th.
Sounds legit to me. Thanks for clarifying. Slightly more premium materials make me think of more expensive repairs. Phones get dropped, wet, dirty, and samsung is known to have manufacturer defects that they are not going to fix. I agree with the first commenter here that s pen is a must have with a tablet/phone. I wonder if this version will big seller in China. Lighter, thinner and bigger does sound pretty great.
I use my pen on my fold as much as I missplace the damn thing.
I am literally done with those idiots called samsung. If it's not tv's, they will not see another dollar on my pocket, I'm well aware of the W24 the FU to everyone who didn't get to buy it from Samsung to only sell it in china. What day did was show us who their preferred customer is, and it's not Europe or the u. S they can give 2 s**** about you.

The thing is is that if you are on Verizon your options are quite limited in terms of phone manufacturers with top tier specs. Thankfully one plus is an alternative that works, but I'm not really sure what else besides iPhone there is that is comparable spec for spec. I just got a OnePlus open because I was tired of the Galaxy cameras and how much they have let me down, especially the selfie cameras the last year. After using the one plus open, the selfie cameras on that phone are better than the Z-Fold 5, and dare I say better even in low light than the Galaxy s24 ultra. Absolute joke.
I say that as a loyal Samsung customer sense around the time of the Galaxy S2. I still really like their 15-in tablet which I am typing is on, but I'm going to try and avoid their phones going forward because I am so tired of the thermal throttling that I have had to face because I am a heavy power user who barely ever shuts his screen off, and my OnePlus just doesn't give me the throttling problems
I am telling you right now Samsung is not going to let all these excellent Chinese foldable phones step on them and the United States is still one of the best place to sell it mark my words

Samsung is bleeding money. Why do you think they keep up charging customers for the same phone?
I used to want the S-Pen and have it silo'd inside. I've found I use it very little (if outer screen allowed quick notes like a Note without signing in...) so now I would actually love and prefer a larger, thinner device with no pen. I hope Sammy will introduce it in our US market.

china market is huge, no wonder they're targeting it. they will need to step up to compete in China, with Xiaomi, vivo etc. happy if Samsung finally steps up to the Chinese competition. 🎉👍👍👍

For all the big deal people made about how thick and heavy folds were when I was looking into whether I wanted to buy one, I would have thought it would actually matter - but in my day to day life, literally the only thing I've noticed is that my Fold 4 has a hard time fitting into phone mounts.
I don't even use the S Pen much on my phone - the screen's a bit small for comfortable drawing so I just use it to hover over something in Chrome or make quick and dirty edits - but it's still way more valuable than shaving a milimeter and a few grams off of it.
No S pen = pointless.

So much confusion. Why can't Samsung just launch a range of Folds like the S series. Fold 6...your standard version. An FE for price conscious consumers and an Ultra version for tech nerds and consumers where money isn't a consideration.
Because they probably aren't making ANY money on their Folds as it is after you account for warranty repairs. Adding two more folds to the mix is guaranteed to lose even more money for Samsung without anything to gain.
@@NickAndTech I'm very confuse on how many people fail to think that way... It is so obvious that samsung won't do more as long as Foldable aren't that trendy. They sure have an edge on competition and they are certainly waiting for the right moment to strike strong
It honestly does make sense but.... It doesn't make me feel better that the Asian market gets such better phones than the U.S.... I understand it, I just don't like it and if I want one it's a couple hundred more to import it and a few key features get cut out. To name a few examples honor, vivo and a few other folding phones. Oh well I guess I'll have to give up on Bluetoothing my watch in order to get my 6.5 inch foldable phone 😔
It's good to see the rumors taking shape into a more reality based picture, however, that leaves us with the same disappointing reality that the Z-Fold 6 might just be a minor tweak again and not the overhaul we all have been asking for. What's a fan to do if that's the case; hope that Google and OnePlus take over the space?

I wish Samsung would drop this one in the states, S-pen is useless on the fold, no outer screen support and you need to use a ugly bulky case just to carry it around.
S pen is very useful for me. I fill out all of my ambulance reports with it, and I can get accurate signatures without having other ppls dirty fingers all over my screen. The case does make it bulky, especially when, like me, you've added a stand and a strap. I take the whole case off after work, which feels almost as good as taking my boots off after a 12 hour shift.

@ryan2824 absolutely! My thought is, if they made it a quarter inch wider, there would be room, AND the cover screen would be much more usable.
