I was there every Friday night without fail but cant see myself in these vid's. The best nights of my life well the ones I can remember....? it would be cool if there was a reunion I would be strait there
wicked vibe! I loved the older breakbeat Happy Hardcore, that first tune by DJ Mr. Hyde is a prime example of how good the music was then before it dissolved into pure cheese (wished they'd stayed with this style!). I watch old Rave footage now with a mixture of over-the-top enthusiasm, bouncing about in my chair (!), happy memories but also a slight nostalgic sadness, almost bittersweet that it's been and gone. As said in the movie Hawk the Slayer "I yearn for the old days!". New events playing Old Skool are so dead - old ravers past their prime, the energy and excitement and buzz just isn't being recaptured, people just swaying and using their phones - I get it's a totally different era now, a different time and place where everyone has aged and moved on - but it's sad to see. So we go back, to the there & then; it was an unbelievable time and the music was fresh, exciting; powerful and energetic and the passion for it by the ravers was unparalleled. God I really miss it, you 'grow up' way too soon :(
@@bryanjanes4527 ok cheers I know Phillip worman had a lot to do with the oldschool club and he owned a crystal shop in Aldershot selling vinyl also rave records
Double dropping on the way up on the coach and timing it just right so your coming up as you go through the door - oioi - shout out to the coach posse as well :) South Coast Hardcore, Southampton Posse ;)
