    The scenario is PABX is connected to CPE and CPE is connected to MPLS network with 3 links.
    First Link=Micrwave (Active)
    2nd Link=Fibre (Passive)
    3rd Link=Microwave (Passive)
    If Active link goes down then how can we dynamically transfer it to
    passive link,so it will become active. Is it possible through SIP?
    Please explain ?

    The IAMs don't go directly to the switches, right? Those are SS7 out-of-band signaling links, which means they should not follow the in-band path. Shouldn't those route over the A links?

    • @Alta3Research
      @Alta3Research  10 років тому +2

      That is correct! The SS7 messages travel on their own network. Think of the SS7 network as a WAN for telephone signaling. So the SS7 messages (more specifically ISUP in this case) never touch the voice channels. Please notice that there are a A-links in this diagram. They are the links between the switches and the STP.
