Ram has created an issue: If the RHO starts at $69K and can be comfortably $75K with good amount options, I see no reason to buy the Rebel over the RHO. The RHO is immensely more capable, has the H.O. Hurricane standard, a more spiffy interior, better lighting, etc. Ram may need to lower the Rebel back to 19-20 prices for it to make sense.
The fully loaded RHO you see on most videos is not comfortably $75k at all bud. With all those options+ destination+ tax it's closer to $94k
I’d do RHO for engine alone. Some dealers already offering $11k off RHO. You can get it well equipped under $80k.
If you also need good towing capacity?
You never explained about the lack of a dipstick
Two hurricanes welded together would make a nice 6 liter V12, a proper engine that customers actually want.
Hard choice between this and the 2024 Tremor. Seems like this exterior/interior quality is so much better.
The 5.0 is tried and true so is the trans. Can get a supercharger from ford with warranty. And a dip stick. Plus direct and port injection on the 5.0. I love I6 engines but they really made it hard to get this vs competition.
This truck should be $36,000
That ship has sailed
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
yeah In 1984🤣🤣🤣
@@Gooddog1 Even back then it would be overpriced
Gas should be a $1 gallon 😂😂😂😂
These should come with Cooper AT3 4S. I cannon find a better tire. This tire is a gem.
Great detailed information on the Ram 1500
Appreciate your thoroughness and I look forward for you to do some comparisons. I also agree, def go with Rebel grp 2. One gripe is the 360 camera is only included in Adv Safety Grp 2 ($3300!). I'm trying to decide between a new Rebel or a new Silverado ZR2 Duromax... Keep up the great work!
Hands down the chevy... i got a new 2024 tundra and hated it so i gave it to my wife. Went out a got the zr2 with the duramax
Well done video, very more informative on the different features and how they operate than the others I’ve watched on UA-cam.👍🏻
Smaller turbo charged engines may be more fuel efficient and powerful but they wear out quicker and you’d better change the oil way more often than the recommended 10,000 mile interval. Also I believe the new Rams are premium gas only. Cool motors but you’d better keep on top of maintenance. There’s a reason an eight cylinder is good for trucks.
Had a 2019 Rebel loaded with everything except the sunroof, $52k out the door. I always hated the white letters on the tires. Yes, they are loud new and only get worse. Yes, tailgate had "RAM" across it. It even had a CD player. Man , I miss that truck. 😢
I miss the CD player
RAM Rebel excelente camioneta
We dont want V6 trucks that cost 70k!
Straight 6 .... you no more v8 guys need to move on from the past....
Should have kept The Stash on the grill….😢
So Ram downgraded the rear lights to incandescent from LEDs like on my 2019 Rebel, and raised the lift to 2 inches unlike the 1” mine came with??
So for all of y’all who know a lot about engines, how would the exhaust sound after putting any type of exhaust on it? Would it sound like a pissed off weed eater or will it actually growl on this new engine ?
The RHO makes the raptor R look like a lego toy. And the new inline 6 has been cause hater rage like nothing I've ever seen before. A Heavier Ram with the *standard output* is faster than a lighter ford with an ho option. Its no wonder the threads are full of tears.
Can't wait for the 900+hp inline 6 to come out.
Baruk Hashem
Who would be stupid enough to get a first yr engine 🤔 your just asking for problems. Wait it a a yr or two
Cast aluminum control arms not forged
I work for an auto parts store and a ram mechanic said they've had nothing but problems with these new hurricane motors
Youre so full of crap lol. You guys do this with any truck. Every video on any truck has these "I know a guy" nonsense.
I don't get it. RAM should have kept the 5.7 Hemi, or improved upon it. As for the price, well forget about it.
I’m not sure where you guys get your information from.
It’s possible to have a lemon
I’ve had ram truck since 2003 when the hemi came back they have been the most reliable truck bar none
I pull heavy equipment with my 1500 Laramie, my holiday trailer I even take it to the racetrack it’s no trailer queen
my relatives. Have lots of Fords and some Chevys.
There’s no comparison they’re built amazing and they’re comfortable.
GM interiors looks like a couple 12-year-olds had nothing else to do when they designed it they ride like a tank
In any case, each to their own
And the Chevys driver seat is not centered on the steering wheel. It sits slightly to the side. Most dont notice it but it distracts the hell out of me
Don’t even look like a rebel anymore
I dont care what it looks like nor what you put in it...
I am not buying a full size 4 door truck with a 6 cylinder,
no matter how many turbos you put on it!
Its not Happenin' Captain!!!!
Exactly, we don't want 70k trucks with a V6... they made it to where if you want a real truck, you have to step up to a 3/4 ton. All 1/2 tons have more and more cheap aluminum suspension components.
The v6 and straight 6 motors will blow the old v8s away. You only v8 guys need to just crying 😭😭😭 you probably couldn't even afford one
@@atg1338 V8 has reliability that turbo V6 will start consuming oil like all turbo engines do
@@RP-xk8ji duh .. they use oil to lubicate.. emissions are the reason most are going v6 or straight 6....v8s are a thing of the past get over it...
Pisses me off that they went full digital dash
😭😭😭😭😭
How much is the 360 camera option? I’m guessing it forces you to buy some other expensive option to get it. People will want the RHO since price is similar, but they won’t produce enough of it.
They will produce as many as people order… Stellantis have already said as much! Ordered mine and it is already in D status (all parts available, next step is scheduling)… hundreds of folks in the forums are in the same boat…
@@storybookfilms944 did u go with the same dealership that pickup truck channel used?
Why RAM made this new engine is direct injection is cause that is what RAM only knows and isn’t telling why.
Who is the engine manufacturer? What is the engine code? Do you have any experience with the engine? Has it been extensively tested? In Europe, many 3-liter diesel V6s and I6s have problems with stability, regardless of whether they are BMW, VW, Mercedes, Ford or Stellantis. The engines are no longer tested and the customer has the problem after only a short period of time.
The Chrysler 225 would like a word...
Thats why you don't buy it when it first comes out.... DUH
Where's the dip stick to check the oil
Click the play button. Watch video.
They couldn't just keep giving us the 1500 classic with the v8 at dialed in $42,000 price of course.
If it's not a 5.7 hemi, I don't want it.
If you only want a hemi, then your clock has started. Hemis can only rack up miles at this point. Better get one now and keep the miles low.
😭😭😭😭 no v8 poor lil boy😭😭 you sound so ignorant
@@atg1338 not really, I like what I like. Some people like diesel, some people like inline with turbos, I like gas v8. Don't cry to me stupid.
@@RRtoiPPiotRR 😢😢😢😢
@@chadd587 for sure, i got a 5.7 1500 and 6.4 2500- I'm just saying I prefer RAM pick ups with a v8. And if I buy another RAM 1500 for my business, it's going to be a '23.
To me getting a RAM Classic with the 5.7 is the best value with what I personally look for in a truck.
If someone asks me what the best new half-ton pick up truck is, across the board I'd say Ford right now because the RAM's Inline 6 will have problems.
RAM?
These trucks use to be sold to those that couldn’t afford a good truck like GM/Ford, now they want the same price…Bahahaha 😂
Kids remember RAM doesn’t get on the top 5 most reliable trucks, EVER.
I owned a 1500 and 2500 mega cab in 2014…stay away!
Stop listening to social media and go to construction/job sites and see what brand you see..😏😎
I see ram on construction sites. Whats your point?
Would you buy a less reliable truck because its more affordable? That was a dumb comment. Rams are just as reliable as anything else. GM has taken the dip on reliability. Ram and Ford are very reliable trucks.
Rams were the affordable trucks because they didnt lead the market in tech or features, not less quality or reliability. They were good in what maytered on a work truck. Today, they are THE market leader on innovation and refinement. If anything, GM is cashing in on its past reliability status. Its anazing they still command the price of the Ram and F series. They should be the value truck now to be honest. They dont really push the envelope anywhere and simply incorporate competitor designs.
Youre all over the place.
Blah blah blah 😭😭😭😭 cry cry cry
Clean your glasses. SMH. That’s a full size spare. Hard to keep watching after that. Lmao Just sayin………..🤡
These tiny, weak engines with multiple turbos attached to them are not for me. Im happy to hear that moving forward, all the HD trucks will remain V8. I wonder why lol.
