- Hey Horse Lovers! Kyle and I still can't believe Naveen is actually ours and that we won the bid after all of that. Prince Naveen has been settling in well over the few weeks here at FSE. Naveen has been very busy as we have started his training sessions and now, we are ready to ride him at home for the first time. We are really looking forward to working with him and introducing him to the herd soon. We will also talk more about our plans with him and more facts regarding this new horse plus spend some time with him. In this video you will see his first rides at the farm, and we will talk about our methods and what we notice about our new boy. We have been doing a lot of jaw release exercises before our rides to help mobilize his jaw and help with relaxation. So he has been yawning a lot! This is not him gaping or in pain. I absolutely hate that. He truly was sleepy and relaxed and it was hot so he was yawning a bunch. In this situation that was a good thing. 💙

Dear Shay, I love riding horses I have rode them for about 6 years it’s crazy how a horse can make all your problems go away and make you forget about it just for that short time your riding him/her. I’m so glad Kyle finally has found a horse he loves and a good one at that! I hope Prince Naveen Gets Kyle to ride even more. Prince Naveen is so cute and a very good new edition to FSE. This is why people need to understand that Naveen needs an experienced rider to finish training him. You don't need an incident that could potentially set him back. And you definitely don't want Kyle hurt. There's plenty of time for Kyle later. Right now you need time to figure Naveen out.

Prince Naveen is just a beautiful young horse with the kindest eyes. Looks like he has a sweet tooth...he didn't the apple but loved the muffin. It is amazing that you can more or less predict what he will be like in a few yrs. Kyle must be over the moon with having him as his heart horse and he surely deserves this special horse.
Naveen was very responsive to you. As he trusts and learns what you want and gets on your program and BUILDS HIS OWN CONFIDENCE in what you want, you will have a great horse.

I noticed most that Naveen’s ears were 90 percent cocked backwards as if listening intently for your voice and direction. I love his tail. Every time I see it I think of Cruella DeVille! He is marvelous!

He's got a big trot for sure! I bet he's so happy to have a job again, getting to be sleepy instead of bored all by himself in quarantine. Naveen still so clearly loves Kyle, it's so sweet to watch them together when it's sensible for them to be (like bath time). It's going to be great fun to watch him mature and get stronger with your care.

We saw the connection he had with his previous owner and he seems to have a real need for that real kind of connection. We could see the trust and love he had for you guys day one, but it seems natural he would be a little weary and confused right now. The way he’s acting for such a young horse, I think shows that he’s a gem, but also that he requires a human who shows him some obvious and outward love. So he basically ended up in the perfect place. ❤️
Just because Kyle isn't riding Neveen yet doesn't mean he can't enjoy him! There's so much more than just riding. I have a heart horse that I don't ride much. He's a really good sensitive horse, just like Neveen. Like you said you are trying to set them both up for success. Had I known then what I know now, I'd still have my confidence. I didn't have someone to help me, had a bad experience, and now I'm still regaining my confidence.

So first of all, minus the ill-fitting saddle, y'all are so cute together. Second, as you mentioned how people want to see Kyle riding Naveen, I think the majority of us are here BECAUSE you're doing it responsibly, just as it should be. We love to see it. Me personally, I'm rushing to every video just to see the horses and you have fun together, I don't want to see any crazy wild bronco stuff and people or horses getting hurt 😄🫶. And hopefully Jiminey will go home soon ❤️.

Yes. I wondered if he thought Shae was trying to cowboy on him and thought the ask for trot was an ask for a canter that he wasn't ready/willing to do, hence the goosing and not-buck-not-canter for a step or two until he realized she only wanted a trot.
You may want to have his upper right leg near hip looked at, noticed him favoring it, may b why he crow hopped as it was bothering him. Love yr videos ❤🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

Kyle is so lucky. He gets to choose the exact pretty horse he likes and then has a nice wife to get him trained just so. He's a smart guy! Bet he was a little glad to have swerved those Bunny Hops?

Naveen is so handsome! Love his ears. I can see his movements is so different.. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it. I really appreciate your descriptions. In my mind's eye I was comparing his structure and movements to Beauty, very different. His hind quarters are shaped differently than the other horses. You mentioned he needs muscle built up. It will be interesting to see him develop. He is a good boy. Muffins. Cute!
It’s so interesting observing his confirmation and movement while considering his breeding. He’s long legged, Almost giggle picturing him just stepping over a jump 😂
Young horse; Prince will grow and respond to your compassionate/professional training.
He is beautiful and he is friendly. The man that raised him genuinely seemed to be sad to selling him and I bet he and Prince Naveen spent a good deal of time together. Horses are like dogs in that if they have been raised with a person from very young and then suddenly they have to go to a new home, they need time to not necessarily grieve for their person, but have that time to move on. Having someone like you Shae work with a horse that has had one home, and pretty much one person in his life is the best thing for him. Your loving attention will soon help him not be "sad" or be wondering where his person is. He will know he can trust you very quickly and you just have the magic knack that all the horses I have seen you with seem to understand your "one of them" so to speak. The foals are a great example of that bond you make with all of them. I have not seen an update on Jimminie, so I do hope he is doing ok and will be home soon.
Naveen is as beautiful as his personality. He does look unbalanced but obviously tries to please. He's young, and with your training techniques, he will bloom!

It looked to me that Naveen thought that he was supposed to just go, like a run, but then quickly realized his mistake and settled right down. His previous owner may have liked starting off at a quick pace. Who knows? But I can see from your videos that getting used to a new home/environment is probably harder on the horse than we realize. Shae, you are so disciplined and wise. Thanks for being the great horse woman that you are, and for your patience in teaching us! 😄🩷

Every once in a while it seems like he does that head movement like the Missouri Fox Trotter. He is fabulous. ❤Hope Jiminy doing well .

I had a feeling you'd end up riding him that day! :) So glad you did -- you both really seemed headed in that direction. It would have been a shame to miss that opportunity. Naveen is so sensitive to your praise! Every time you praise him he drops his head a little and looks sort of relieved that he understood you and did the right thing. Wow. What a wonderful horse. And your riding was terrific, Shae. When Naveen took that unexpected "start" you two looked like one creature. You looked back to see what his hindquarters were doing, and helped him out of it so smoothly. Beautiful.

Such a great job with him Shae. Looked at that "moment" and it almost looked like he
was doing a walk/canter transition. Awkwardly. You were so confident and soft with
him to deescalate that moment. What a wonderful mount being soft and light in his
aides. Gives you a lot of leeway. He is my favorite of your horses.
He is like the best of both breeds. Moves like a Friesian and looks like a Fox Trotter. Love that floaty way he trots but it doesn’t look easy for riding. Gorgeous horse with loads of potential
All in all he did really good. The first time he also put his tail between his legs. The second time he didn’t and he moved a lot more relaxed. He has this upwards movement of a Friesian. His mindset is amazing and he was listening to you and your clues so intently with his beautiful long ears turned back to you. He doesn’t like apples, what?! 😂 So excited to see him unfold just like Beauty did.

Naveen is going to be a wonderful horse! Remember you are also new to him. So he has to learn to respond to your cues. That’s why at first he didn’t understand the trot cue. I love him! What a gem!!!

I have seen some chill horses in my day, but Naveen definitely takes top honors. Amazing part is most of the time they are more woe than go, but he so even keeled. Amazing horse and as young as he is he has so much potential.

I’m so invested in your equestrian channel. I’ve been watching since you got Lumiere. I see that you’re so experienced and it’s great to hear your advice as from someone (me) who knows very little about horses. As much as I love horses, my only experience has been 2hr horse back riding trips when I was younger and Girl Scout horse summer camp. Sadly, I only recently found out I was (mildly?) allergic to horses! 😅 and I’m probably too late to get into equestrian life (late 20’s) but I feel as though I’m living vicariously through you. 🙂

He's a Prince of Princes!!!!! What a sweetheart. After your very first time on him, and you were talking, he was yawning like crazy, and putting his head near you, like he wanted to hug you. I truly feel that he was SO RELIEVED. Them on your newest ride, you could immediately tell how more relaxed he was, and he was yawning some more. I think he will be super responsive to anything you do with him. I am so glad you like bitless! I think he will be so happy with that!!!

He's going to an excellent riding horse when your done training him. You can see it with the way he already responds to you. Especially as young as he is now. I really like how you take riders into consideration before allowing them ride any horse. Considering their safety first and foremost. In the long run, I think Naveen will end up being the perfect horse for Kyle. Especially with you of all people training him. Much love and respect to you both. ❤ ❤
Naveen is so beautiful! I found out recently that the Friesian breed was originally called the "Dutch Trotter," so he comes by his big trot through both sides of his lineage! 💖💖💖

Right before he pulled his hindquarters underneath himself, I thought he was beginning to do the Missouri Fox Trot. I used to have Tennessee Walkers and Paso Finos. They need to be “tuned up” every once in a while. I think this guy will do the Missouri Fox Trot with a bit of “tuning.” Gaited horses have the best, most wonderful puppy-dog personalities!
He is SO lovely! Oooohhh, maybe he could be an Eventer. ❤ You always do such a great job with your horses. He definitely is unbalanced and weak but you'll get him there. When I first got Lex, his trot was so difficult to ride, but now that he's strong and more balanced it's awesome. So excited PL, he's gonna be a great horse for all of you! ❤
