    I got lucky for the Gentemstick Stingray snowboard test with some sunshine and fresh snow in my favorite zone at Hanazono. We decided to traverse a little further today and found some amazing untracked drops and plenty of powder each lap, perfect terrain to feel out the Stingray. Aside from the first cornice drop that caught us by surprise, I was able to ride away from every feature I came across and was very surprised with the combination of float and stability I found with this snowboard. It's always nice to test a board in the terrain it was designed for, comprehensive review coming soon. Thanks for watching.

    I had for a few years dreamed of getting the opportunity one day to meet you and chit chat a little about boards and tech, you know, sb nerd stuff etc. And exactly that ended up being one of my highlights of the trip. So Much Love Brother!
    Thanks for treating us like old friends straight off the rip.
    Sick Video.
    Hope to see you at Perisher or Thredbo in September. 🤙

    I have a question. I'm 6'4 and weight 165 lbs. Should I get the Warpig/Twinpig in Normal (151cm) because of my weight or in Large (154cm) because of my height? Thanks for the help :)

    • @frederik1604
      @frederik1604 4 роки тому +3

      Peter Sunshine with boards like the warping it’s always difficult because it’s made to be short and fat. I weigh about the same as you and I’m 6’1. And I have the Gnu Mullair in 159. But as I said the warpig is generally a shorter/fatter board. Anyway I would advise you to get 154.

    • @skahww1036
      @skahww1036 4 роки тому +1

      @@frederik1604 Thanks for the reply. :)
      Sadly I can only decide between a 151 Warpig (315€) and a 154 Twinpig (285€).
      All-Mountain and stability are most important for me.

    • @frederik1604
      @frederik1604 4 роки тому +2

      Peter Sunshine oh ok. Well those boards are very similar. The main difference being that the warpig shines in powder and the twin shines when it comes to switch. So if you like riding switch get the twinpig. I kinda get the feeling your looking for a great carver that can ride powder well too. Here are some of the best boards in the category:
      Lib Tech Ejack Knife
      Burton Skeleton Key (also looks a bit similar to the warpig)
      Neversummer chairman
      Burton flight attendant
      Yes pyl
      they’re all amazing at carving and riding powder. And if your looking for a board that does that great, anyone of these will do.
      They’re not that great in park though, so if you want something like these that can also ride park, you should go with the gnu mullair 2020. (The board I’m riding this season.)

    • @Milo-sc7hg
      @Milo-sc7hg 4 роки тому +1

      Peter Sunshine I’m guessing your just park riding so get the smaller board or go for a kink

    • @skahww1036
      @skahww1036 4 роки тому

      @@frederik1604 Well technically I already have both boards laying around in my house right now. Its kind of a long story how I got there :D I would send one of them back to the store (we can do that here In germany).
      Im thankfull for your recommended boards, but therefore I would stick with the 151 Warpig (315€) o the 154 Twinpig (285€).
      To be honest I have never rode switch before, but I would try it out. I am looking for an allrounder that can go kinda fast, because my skiing friends are always a bit faster than me.
