The best way is to purchase the Echo Zulu castle nut system from Tango Uniform. Only $20 for a starter kit, it comes with a staking jig a castle nut and a punch. I just used it.
it takes all the guess work out of staking your castle nut and you will have a professional looking perfectly staked castle nut.

    Beginning - center punch
    2:55 (marking your end plate)
    3:58 optimal punch location
    5:35 performing the punch
    7:43 steel - perma blue
9:30 alternative if using aluminum and plate

I've seen that on SOTAR. Fool proof and makes perfect stakes

I didn't know there were aluminum end plates in circulation. Who makes those so I can avoid them?

      Radian, phase 5, strike.
I bought it for the QD attachment point back in 2021 when parts were very hard to come by. They make great charging handles but they tend to make hyped up nonsense design changes to things that are proven and do not need changing.
I wouldn’t spend the extra money on their rifles.
