The extra lights on the heads of N, J, and V are extra eyes/sensors btw, and this is set on Copper 9, an exoplanet. The reason that N, J, and V don't need flap their wings when they fly is because they have jets in their feet, kinda like a plane. Their wings just provide lift. PLEASE continue, out of all your reactions this is the series everyone is more than okay with pausing on because there are so many “epic” details that we didn’t know were there😂
Alright, here goes _something,_ I hope: - Like I said previously, I mostly know _Murder Drones_ by reputation and from picking up production details while idling in its orbit. There's three things in particular that I've learned about it: the show's a thematic inverse of _The Amazing Digital Circus,_ hiding its emotional depths and sharp humor behind a grim, emo facade as opposed to concealing psychological horror behind a veneer of candy-coated delight; that it shares a lot of voice talents with other indie projects, including _TADC_ and _Hazbin Hotel;_ and that its creative lead, Liam Vickers, absolutely _packed_ the show with clues and important details hidden among the blink-and-you'll-miss-it minutiae of the character and set designs. (Expect to pause a *_lot_* to read.) - Uzi, our angsty teen gynoid, is voiced by Elsie Lovelock -- you've previously heard her as Charlie's singing voice in the _Hazbin_ pilot and the Gloink Queen from Episode 1 of _TADC,_ though I spotted her name on recent Playtonic Games release _Elsie_ as well. I suspect that the latter took influence from Uzi's characterization, at least in part. - Thad, the jock Uzi spoke with, is voiced by Sean Chiplock. You heard him as the voice of Kinger previously, but he's also a triple-A actor, among whose recent noteworthy roles was Rito Champion Revali in _The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild._ (He also bought a Revali fursuit for conventions, because the man is also a _dork_ in the best possible way, apparently.) - N, meanwhile, has the voice of Michael Kovach -- as has been mentioned elsewhere, he's previously provided voices for _Hazbin, TADC, Lackadaisy,_ indie games like _Poppy Playtime,_ and probably a few other things that slip my mind at the moment. From what I've heard, though, N's the crowd favorite... and I can see _why_ now I've _met_ him. - You might recall I said to remember Poppy's voice from _Poppy Playtime,_ and V is why: she's voiced by Nola Klop, the same VA as Poppy and one of the missing employees, Stella (whose voice can be heard in the Game Station in Chapter 2). She's been in a lot of other indie games in varying roles, though the main one I've played is _Bramble: The Mountain King,_ a narrative puzzle-platformer rooted in Scandinavian lore. (One for a future Friday stream?) - J's voice is provided by Shara Kirby, another video game VA. _Fire Emblem Heroes, Pokémon Masters, Genshin Impact, Armored Core VI, FF7 Rebirth,_ the _Dragonflight_ expansion of _WoW..._ Glitch pulled in some talented VAs for the first episode of their new series. - As I said before, Liam Vickers is one of those creative madmen who _loves_ hiding important details right in front of people. I don't know the context for the terms (yet), but I know I've heard the names 'Cyn' and 'Absolute Solver' floating around -- I don't doubt they're important to what happens going forward, but I can't do more than speculate. - I'm guessing that the game you half-remembered was _Chibi-Robo._ The titular 'bot was very Clank-esque, and there was definitely a similar undercurrent of _wrong_ beneath the cheery facade -- which is probably why I enjoyed it so much, thinking about it. (Plus, I'm a sucker for games that play with perspective to make familiar environments feel fantastical -- a three-inch robo-buddy traversing a regular suburban home feels like an adventure from that size!) - While the robotic nature of the characters blunts the trauma of their destruction, it's worth considering that, without some kind of backup process, the death of a sentient machine is no less absolute than the death of a human -- the Disassembly Drones have made a monument out of unique (albeit synthetic) lifeforms that they've snuffed out without hesitation. - The fact that N and his 'siblings' apparently need to drain their targets of coolant oils to avoid overheating, when Uzi and the other Worker Drones don't seem to have that issue, suggests that JC Jenson never _designed_ the Disassembly Drones for long-term use. They seem like they were developed to quell AI 'rebellions' and then self-terminate once all targets were neutralized, but wiping out an entire planet's worth of drones isn't likely something that the company planned for -- if they were dispatched automatically after the colonial drone force stopped completing orders, there likely wasn't any plan to bring them back. I think Uzi called it: the Murder Drones are _expendable._
@davidjohnson1727 Good to know I didn't accurately guess _everything_ right out of the gate. It gets kind of _boring_ when I predict every big twist well in advance just from overanalyzing things -- a show that doesn't go where I _think_ it's going is _very_ welcome!

@Mattables I thought that's what you were talking about! I played it on the PS2 back in the day. They did such a good job of making the bots you fight for seem like they were just trying to defend themselves, and the enemies just heartless invaders with...more than a few quirks. The fact he had a virus injected in him yet still thought J was looking out for him and apologized to Uzi shows how damaged his self- image is. He ACTUALLY thought he was useless. @@JBasilix Tbh I believe it's possible theoretically, but people kind of over analyze stuff in the show and take it as proof the theory is true. If all I had ever heard in my life was that I was useless, I'd sh too. So, in theory, it's possible, but it was never confirmed canonically. I'm trying to see it from all perspectives, but I'm not Matpat. It's just a theory that is hypothetically very possible, but just never confirmed. People are trying to be the next Matpat. I wrote that because it's a popular theory that considering what N has gone through with J, V and (Spoiler alert!!!!) the Elliot mansion events constantly damaging his self esteem and sense of self- worth, I believe very likely. The fact he had a virus injected in him yet still thought J was looking out for him and apologized to Uzi shows how damaged his self- image is. He ACTUALLY thought he was useless. Thank you for the concern and yet again, don't worry I'm not offended:) I understand, TBH that's a very morbid theory to randomly spit out at a comment section, I would have thought the same
@@Eclipse_daWeirdestGurl Thanks for taking it with understanding. Would rather say something one to many times than miss the important one.
I never heard of that fan theory so yeah... caught me quite by surprise. I think they are going to far. Reading between the lines is important but sometimes people try to be to clever
There's too much hypothesis and not enough proof
36:41 Disassembly drones were specifically designed to overheat when exposed to the sun
Wifi was out when this dropped, but damn was it worth sticking through a whole day without it for peak 🙏
Please take your time watching this... rewind and pause.
There are tons of details spread around per episode
I'm glad that you take the time to look at all the little details.
Yesss plz do more reactions to murders drones I love this show .
I love this show so much, be prepared for the first few episodes to be very confusing XD
Yeah there are cosplays, I’ve seen quite a few and they’re really cool :) I’m making one of N myself
Also keep in mind that that JC Jensen isn’t interstellar company meaning this planet died but not the other planets people seem to forget about it
GAH. I LOVE MURDER DRONES. GRRRRERAAAHHHHHHHHH. THE QUALITY GETS SO MUCH BETTER EVERY EPISODE. GRRRRRRRRAAAAHHHHGHHH
2:05 Not just that, man - they made sure to animate the clouds being pushed away in the shockwave.
Whenever I see details like that in a good explosion, I feel a max0r quote in my soul: "it gave me a filmmaking boner"
This is going to be a slightly different experience for me. Unlike all the _other_ indie animation projects I've rambled about, I've actually never seen _Murder Drones_ before now -- it's been on my radar thanks to my exposure to Glitch Productions and my friendship with a few fans, but my direct knowledge of the lore behind the show is limited thanks to my avoidance of any spoilers.
I'll probably do more speculation than lore dumps and BTS tidbits for this show, but I'm totally down to share my first viewing of _Murder Drones_ with you and the rest of the Mattables community!
Yay! Im happy when people watch along for the first time!!
Glad how you stop every nów and then to look at the details, in the next episodes it will be very important as most of the lore isnt said directly and you have to actually figure it out by yourself, so please PAY attention to details if you dont want to be confused ❤
27:26 TO BE FAIR, Khan is having a panic attack from PTSD, which isn’t an excuse for his actions in not saving his daughter, but he lost his wife due to the MD
He also has the safety of literally everyone in that building in his hands.
He did what he thought Would be safest for them
"Oh no.. my type.. crazy" YOU'RE SO REAL FOR THAT
Murder Drones ... The plot is tied with light speed for how fast it is.
The story is surprisingly complex when you start dissecting it.
missed an opportunity to say disassembling instead of dissecting
You're going to be sooo confused as the episodes go by lmao, I would recommend you to write down the important things so you don't forget HDJF. But leaving that aside, this series is very good!! As the episodes go by, the animation increases to an incredible quality AND THE MUSIC SLAP SO HARD LIKE REALLY HARD :D
31:55 "Me next" is wild.
This is an extremely great series, but you'll feel extremely confused until episode 5. From that point onwards, the show keeps getting so much better with every episode
Can't wait to see you react to the rest. This show is absolutely fantastic.
11:29 The fact he predicted half the series is crazy.
17:50 Extremely relatable
Great that you saw the hidden "Administration Cyn"! now I suggest you remember it :)
The exoplanet is called Copper 9. Thats all im gonna tell for now and prepare to be confused.
I’m so excited you decide to pick up my favorite indie series!
Awesome video, can’t wait to see you react to the rest of the show :) also if you think the animation is good now, it gets better with every episode so that’s something to look forward to
Glad to see you've met the fan favorite Murder Drones character....
Doors.
Shit, I missed the lore on N's HUD when I watched this the first time... foreshadowing ftw!
“He’s so adorable” also N:Murders all of uzis dads coworkers and tries to kill her twice
Then proceeds to basically be her guardian angel lol
i'v also never seen murder drones! i'll be watching along with you in this one for a change which is gonna be fun!!
Finally, thanks for reacting to my favourite show.
Btw, this doesn't take place on earth but an exo planet called copper-9. The Murder Drones presumably come from earth, Uzi explained during the intro that the company sent them.
I knew you were going to love this, N is so you. 😂
Metal Arms: A Glitch in the System?
Also yay for more Murder Drones fans!
Finally! I've been waiting for you to react to this Series! I love this one so much. I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did!
Hi. You're gonna love this show believe me.
My favorite scene in the whole series is the 2 dudes at the beginning of the explosion that just kinda shrug and and go whoppsies
4:30 this is protagonists journey you learned about it in sixth maybe seventh grade look it up
10:12 talking sh$t to the door was something I woundn't think I get to see in this channel. Now I'm more hooked than ever to your videos!!!
I love murder drones, hope you make more videos on this series!
This is the most CONFUSING show I ever watched. I had to re-watch every episode and looks things up, yet I'm still not entirely sure if I understand everything that's going on.
My brother has been begging me to watch this. I’ll watch it with you 😌🙌
Love your reaction!
Pausing and reflecting is how you watch this show properly, so... :D
Looking forward to next episodes if you decide to react to the whole series!
I ♡ THIS SHOOOW!!
Yooooo, reacting to my two current hyperfixations Epic the Musical and Murder Drones at the same time?? Nice.
AAA IM SO EXCITED
This show is AMAZING for foreshadowing, like "absolute solver" and "Cyn"
Episode 1 sets up the world, Episodes 2 through 4 ask questions without answers, Episode 5 onwards you start very slowly getting answers but you have to use your brain a bit to put everything to gether.
Just a heads up. It's a great show and I am always happy to see more people watch it
Off to a better start, than most reactions. Please continue, I'd like to see, what you think, of me.. giggle.
I loved this reaction! You're super funny. I hope you enjoy Murder Drones!
21:57 holy hell he noticed congrats
"Stop taking the gun everywhere!" She needed the gun so when she left she can just pop the part that she needed inside the gun.
You might need to turn on the subtitles since it shows who is talking. It could help you understand the lore more since it's going to be VERY confusing
Murder Drones is bad ass, however, it will get a bit confusing
Khan has PTSD give my man some amount of forgiveness!
this is very confusing, even as a lore person myself i got some things an episode later
also the lore is written in a way so that you know exactly as much as uzi and N, so when they are being tricked youre also being tricked(its fine as long as you keep up with what they know)
Each episode is inspired by a movie if i remmember correctely. Episode 2 is the Thing so prepare mentally
He says its not that gorey
Me: heh, patience is a virtue my friend, patience is a virtue
fun fact- all the episodes got subtitles if you want to use them :D
Just watch up to the first 8 episodes for the very least before your decision ❤
This series is amazing. I'm fully watched all episodes and still confused about the plot
Looking for messages and other important things frame by frame is actually the best way to watch this show (and sometimes the only way to tie the story together). Enjoy!!!
murder drones is really awesome and yes, the sound design is so well done. Please feel kindly reminded that this is an indie production and only 50 ppl worked on this(animation) - the later episodes will blow your mind ! I love this! The sense of humor and horror elements are just great in this.
"Shejus" LOL, that gets me XD
Ohhh so happy you’re getting into murder drones, and you have the right mindset pausing to read all the little details. Sometimes they’re jokes other times they’re very important lore pieces. Like you missed a big bit at the end with uzi murder monologue. Take a frame by frame look at the error in her eye, trust me it will be important later.
Just wait till he sees the kj referace in episode 8😂 (I competed on the vid with a timestamp)

Your gonna have to live-stream this so all of us MD fans can point out the easter eggs!
The second the saw this, I legit started to slam my desk outta happiness. I'm very happy :D
15:36 It's kinda sad when we first see N interact with V and J and realize that N probably wasn't suspicious of Uzi because "Holy crap, it talks" was most likely a regular reaction he got when talking to a girl before now. lmao
