Great idea. Sawyer filters are my favorites. Always good to see new & creative ways use them to need our individual and/or unique needs. Thanks for sharing. God Bless.
I've tried just about every major filter manufacturer and I like Sawyer's the best! Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts so I hope you have a great day
@@jeffreyberube7812 I found info with links to the required adaptors (2) on hydrapaks website, here: support.hydrapak.com/hc/en-us/articles/1260803181249-What-Water-Filters-Work-with-my-HydraPak-Product- (scroll down, the sawyer info is a bit lower down on the page) I read the info to mean: You screw the 42 mm to "plug-n-play" cap adaptor ( hydrapak.com/collections/accessories/products/plug-n-play-42mm-cap ) on the seeker (or other pak with 42 mm threaded opening) and then fit the plug-n-play adaptor ( hydrapak.com/collections/accessories/products/filter-adapter-28-mm ) to the sawyer which can then be connected together.
Wow Marcus, talk about going above & beyond to help the cause ! This work around sounds just like the ticket to get the job done Would you know what the flow rate would be by using this system ? But huge kudos to you my friend Jeffrey
Very interesting content. But my question is simply, apart from your work around method, there is no way to use the Swayer filters w/ the HydraPak bladders ? I welcome your response Thanks, Jeffrey
I've used those too. I like bags better than bottles just so I can roll them up and they take less space. Thank you for stopping by I appreciate the support
I hate the plastic water containers that come with the sowery filter. The one I have makes noise in my bag and has cracked. That you for the tip. Where can I buy a hydrapack?
Dude I also watched this Aussie whom used the smart caps to attach hydrapak via its adaptor nozzle for the sawyer... he used the setup twice to squeeze unfiltered into a fresh bladder. badder x #/L 2x 28mm filter adapters 2x 42mm plug n play With three bladders could carry two drinkable plus additional if needed. Was impressive setup
Hey Bub, I am enthrolled with this video. But my question to you is, how subtantial is the flow rate w/ regards to your onversion ? It did not look that great from the video. What say you ? Thanks, Jeffrey
Good stuff. If you tighten the threads too tightly there is a risk of cracking one of the components. Especially in cold weather. Plastic sometimes gets brittle. If there is an issue of leakage between the components, try adding a rubber washer like the ones used in garden hoses. And/or wrapping the threads with teflon tape.
Wow good job bro. Maybe they'll watch your vidoe and one or the other will make a change and give you credit. I would awesome. Yea I still haven't got me one y'all camp more than me so once I'm able to get me camper and camp more I hope to have a few. Which don't no if I can do what you did the bag and filter easy but the old filter do they sell them still. But great vidoe bro something for me to look forward to one day. Lord noes this water in our homes I could use box of them filters. It's bad so got to buy water so yea I don't drink near enought daily. You have fun. God bless
Thank you for the good thoughts. yes they still make those original Sawyer squeeze it's still one of my favorites. It would be nice if they would give credit where credit's due but I highly doubt that would happen. Blessings to you brotha!!
JIUJITSU2000 - Not sure you will get this since this is an old video, while why not do an update showing if there are other Sawyer Filters that will work? You initially showed three filters, while you only used one of them. Also, you may have come up with new ideas or alternatives to this. I purchased two new Katadyn Filters and already own the lager Hydrapack. Thanks for a great video...Abe
Holy crap! I can't believe I never thought of this. I have an old filter I can scrap, so I know what I'm doing, lol. Thank you brother. -ATB Adam
Glad to find this my Befree just gave up on me and I’m going to finish out the season with my Sawyer. And now I can do it for 0$ 👊🏼
AMAZING! - SUPER GREAT hack! Will do - easier than buying the two HydraPak adapter parts!

Wow! I've been looking for an adapter like this for a few years. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks! Way better solution than the adapters Hydrapak wants to sell. I had an old Katydyn Befree lying around too!
Wow thanks a lot, good idea ,I change my befree for sawyer, and now my hydrapak will fit👍👍
Hydrapak makes a plug and play system now that works with the Sawyers.
Auck “Mr Baggins”
Is this plug/play system for sale through ?
So glad I stumbled across your remark

I use the cnoc... You can see it in my 10 day solo survival video series. There's a playlist on my channel to easily find it...
Your aces, dude, Thanks.
Got you brotha!!
Doesn't Katadyn BeFree comes in 1L and 3L which eliminate the need for HYDRAPAK?
They do offer different size bladders, but I wanted to use sawyer squeeze on the HydraPak
Good pick up though
I use my Sawyer mini filter on my Dasani bottles, works great also

Hi good morning. I use the Sawyer and love it. Nice to see this vid
Good morning! This works great!!
What size sawyer do you use ?
I am trying to pull the filter element out of a Befree I stopped using since I froze it. But I cannot get it out. Does it thread out or pull out?
Good stuff.
