ISA and NCCER are also both great programs if a vollege or university isn't for you. There are specific courses for automation technologies. Just keep in mind pay will depend on the field you wanna work in. PLCs cover, industries such as food, raw materials processing, most types of power plants, hospitals, logistical transports, and of course oil, gas. and utilities plants.
The HVAC industry generally doesn't use PLCs but does in some cases. You might look more into Building Automation training such as at smartbuildingsacademy.com
@jamesberry365 The Hvac industry doesn't usually use plc. A DDC (direct digital control )uses on most applications and Internet access to field devices. You can find free videos on UA-cam. Take a look and think about it.
started making $25 and got bumped up too $34.50 by the end of my year with all the OT i want, for 2 years of school i say it’s definitely worth it!
What schooling/degree did you do to make this possible?
How many hours do you work a week?

Yep, it's an interesting field to be in.
A big piece they need to add. Better hourly pay. Most controls engineers i know make less than me yearly but like 15% less for 60% less hours
Seems like a great trade off no? & with the free time could do other side hustles to make more money no?
I like it very much❤❤
Hvac tech here. How do I get training and start doing this? Is hvac the right field?

I also like how to learn
I saw most control engineer jobs require a degree
many job postings do say that, but most employers care more about what you can do that what degree you have.

😃fair enough, more opportunity for someone else I guess
@@stephendgates they can have it I’ll bring power to it and make way more from being in the union
You should not do. Pursue Business😂
@@kolayskyboy2674 doing PLC is for useless underpaid car plant workers and factory workers that try to be electricians
