Back again. I like this version the best, since I can simply immerse myself in the scenery, without distractions. Yes, it does end up at night, but that reminds me of many of my trips to Vermont. I hope you can elicit more comments.
I’m back again. I find the segment between Pittsfield and North Adams especially mesmerizing. And, yes, at 2:47:00 Route 8 is conjoined with Route 2, which crosses Massachusetts to Albany, so when I am heading west on that route, I see the same stretch of North Adams, from the opposite direction.
You should do New England Route 9, which runs from Bennington, VT all the way to the Canadian Border in Calais, ME. It'll take quite a while to do it, but I'd love to see it
I am going to be driving on route 8 through Connecticut and some of Massachusetts and I’m wondering where a good spot is to stop with my dog to use the restroom.
I’ve driven on segments of this route many times, but never the whole way. Memory Highway,! Thanks for screening it.
I’m back, and love this trip just as much as the first time. I’m following it with a map, just to see where I am.

Berkshire County...My old stomping grounds.
I hope you had the chance to ride up Mt. Greylock. There is a great trip up it on UA-cam.
@@scottpardee6303 I used to live up there
@@BJSteigner I’m sure these drives evoke many memories for you as well.
@@scottpardee6303 I hated it up there...30 years of abuse and bullying was enough.
Sorry to hear that. The area seems so tranquil.
Where does Route 8 end in Vermont
Or better, I just discovered that when Route 8 enters Vermont it meets the beginning of Route 100, one of the most scenic routes in that state.
