EDIT: I have a theory. Remember in All These Years, Camila repeatedly says: "I never told you". We all know All These years is for Shawn. In return, he made a song about her too and he called it Why. What If he called it Why because he's answering back to Camila asking her why she never told him that she still likes him.

I love that he put his blood, sweat, and tears into this album. My favorite songs on the album are : mutual, when you’re ready, youth, lost in Japan, why, where we’re you in the morning & particular taste. He deserves all the awards. I’m such a proud stan. Can’t wait to see him less than 2 weeks & seeing him twice in concert next year. So I’m all about the Mendes being in my blood.

I think it’s camila. I mean, in “why” he sings about wondering whether her songs are about him and when people ask about them they brush it off... camila is a singer. My theory is over
Dante, screw anyone who wants to accuse you of bragging about meeting Shawn or any of the other experiences you have had with your idols. You have every right to be all hyped and happy about those experiences. If there is anything I learned from going to conventions over the years, it's that no matter what you do, there will be people who are jealous of your experiences and those people will find every excuse in the book to say you're bragging when clearly you are not. They will also try to make you feel bad for even talking about said experiences but just ignore them and keep on enjoying those awesome experiences because the memories and positive feelings you can get from just remembering are something to hold on to. :)
