@Kamran Jan haha stfu IN EAST LOS ANGELES we stay beefing lol.... east Los Angeles mexican gangs alot have been around 80- 100 plus years... you think a black rapper could do that to us. Lol get real homeboy tupac was a fucken actor (excellent) actor, any ways rest in piece T.S, he mentioned MEXICANS with respect.
@@erickgonzalez3199 you're a fool.. Tupac was the voice for the voiceless he stood for all minorities that were discriminated against. Of course he emphasized his own roots most because that's what anyone would do. That's what you're doing now. Don't be a chavala homeboy do more homework, tupac was a movement that us mexicans were most def on, you just dont know. Obviously no 1 man could ever stop all the beef but if there's a chance to stop some of it and unite than it's got to be utilized. Maybe you should wake up and start being more like Pac for Mexicans uplift your people in real and effective ways, have a real purpose in life instead of criticizing those that took action.
His music's truly timeless, such a well spoken man who comes across so well in his old interviews. He truly came too soon, if only he was around today fighting for change! RIP Pac truly one of the greats ❤️
There well never be another pac period 💯💯💯 definitely had a Mission you can tell and he just told you don't send me to jail he's going to be more potent and everything and you're adding more fuel to the fire and that's exactly what happened he was definitely on a different level
"I cant change all this dirt thats here... But i can put it all in this corner" Amazing mentality. I had no idea Pac had those plans for the community!
y'all this guy is a legend. his smartness was a blessing and a curse. he is so unique and let not mention his good looks 😍 them big eyes just something about them stands out. he in general stands out as a person inside and out.
If your background is associated with the Black Panthers, and you were outspoken and becoming something BIG in the media, then you become a target.Pac knew it from day one. RIP 2pac.
"They all want to know what I have in plan for young black males, It makes me want to rise up to the expectations, I will give my whole life to thug life." You sure did Tupac, nobody has had an impact like you. We need more heroes in our present. People that understand what the real life is.
"If I have to go to jail I don't even want to be living, I want to just cease to exist for however long they have me there and then when I come out I'll be reborn" And true to his word that's how Tupac Died and Makavelli was born.
Damn, that man was beautiful...the world wasn't ready for Pac when we got him, but like he said, "there was no spot for Tupac..." homie was on a whole other level, it still hurts my heart to this day that he had to go the mansion so young. . .
He was just so ambitious and incredibly inspiring. As a young 20 something speaking on experience he's had that we expect an older man to have had is so incredible. And you can tell the pressure he had from the interviewer (white audiences) and simultaneously the pressure from black and spanish groups to have him be their representative and protection and vice versa was weighing on him but he expressed that perfectly. I just wish someone was around to uphold the ideals he created for our community that sadly went uncompleted.
Not ONCE this did this man say "uhmm" or "uhh" before his replies. NOT ONCE! You know how hard that is, especially under the lights & being recorded by cameras all around? His confidence and intelligence was far beyond what we could understand...
May 14, 2024 and yes I'm listening to Tupac.... even though God only allowed his body 25 years on this earth his soul definitely lives on ....RIP TUPAC....Rest Onnnnnn my boy.... FOREVER 25....Gone But Not Forgotten 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️🕊️🕊️
2 Pac was a real genius. I feel real good each time i take a look at his interviews or listen to his music. May your soul Rest in Peace dude.Thug Life.
Young rappers take notes. This is how you should speak. Clearly & with intelligence. Pac was wise beyond his years. Now, he wasn't perfect, made a few mistakes and had his flaws because he was still young. But he was still trying to be a better person, dropping knowledge and trying to be a leader. With the exception of Kendrick, Chance the Rapper & J. Cole(I probably left a rapper or 2 out), I don't see many MCs doing much other than being followers. Same lame music dumbin it down for these kids, same face tattoos & hair, using pills and codeine & unable to spit actual poetry and verses, repeating the same 3 words 100x in a song. This ain't our culture anymore. We no longer run hip hop. It got into the wrong hands and now it's all about money. It's a business and corporate is behind it sadly. We need to take it back. Hip Hop was the voice of the streets and had a message. Pac's music still is relevant and means something now with everything that's going on in this world.
He told THEM his whole plan. This is what they do. They hem us up, then interview us to basically get ALL the information they need. Yeah...the artist gets paid to do the interview, but you giving them what they want. Listen to the questions they ask him. HE should've told them to keep they money and kept his mouth and his opinions to himself and shared this info with his loved ones!!!
In all honesty he just shouldn't have swung on Orlando and he'd be here today. He would have moved up into politics and become a powerful force. Miss this dude so much but he just made a bad decision in Vegas that night.
This interview sheds broad light on just why he was murdered. If his dream had been allowed to blossom inside this reality there would be an amazing change inside the inner city cultures. His story is an amazing saga. He rose to prominence inside an entertainment industry that seems to be used as a tool. It is designed to culture degradation among minorities. Entertainers are caricature artists whose lives are carefully scripted and shaped towards a certain persona. Unfortunately the youth emulate these false personas and fiction soon becomes a reality, ensuring decades of poverty and suffering for so many. Tupac understanding this was attempting to run the train off the tracks. What he doing was using the enemy’s tactics, firing their weapons from there line of defense. He truly was ahead of his time. The system he was fighting first tried to break him with the fear of bodily harm, then incarceration and he came out even stronger it would seem. I’m sure they didn’t end his life initially because he was also their cash cow. So when he proved to be unfazed by their dirty tricks he had to be erased. With claims of gang beefs and drug money his death was even used to smear out the legacy he was working to build. Most Americans had no clue just how much was lost when this happened. To them it was just another animal and his death, another symptom of a chaos driven lifestyle. I’m sure there were even a few who thought he got what he deserved. We forget that the entertainment industry is just that. It’s a form of employment that has its own set of responsibilities, restrictions and uniforms. Even though it’s employees enjoy a level of luxury most dream of they all suffer a curse of being at work 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Once they become heavily invested in these characters they depict they can not afford to be anything else. This man here didn’t ultimately loose himself as so many seem to do. For that he must’ve been one of the strongest souls ever to manifest out of the Supreme Light. I am thankful for his time amongst us!!!
My goodness finally someone with the depth of knowledge and understanding of what Tupac Shakur really meant in this world. He had to be silenced America wasn’t ready for the onslaught of this youth.
Part of what you say is definitely true, but there is something glaring you're missing. And that is the fact that Hip- Hop itself was in its infancy as a mainstream genre of music. When Tupac came out of jail he went to Death Row, a record label that was known within the industry to have gang affiliations, mainly with the set known as the Bloods. Suge Knight was the head of Death Row, and he surrounded himself with an entourage of known gang members. Tupac was never a Gangster, but he had a deep understanding of the urban inner city street culture, and he was a genius recording artist who played up to his tough guy persona in order to sell records and maximise his earnings. None of it was fake, but definitely exaggerated. In order to live up to the image that he carefully curated over the years, Tupac would turn up at random house parties in the hood just to hang out with ordinary people and mingle with groupies, he would carry guns around his person at all times for protection, he often got into altercations with people and got into trouble with the police a number of times. He was wild. He never closed himself off to everyday people just because he was famous. But this also made him vulnerable in ways he couldn’t see at first. Tupac was a true artist who tried to live the life he spoke of in his records as authentically as he humanly could without violating his own code of conduct, not like these fake Beverly Hills Rappers nowadays. In jail he admitted as much, and said he was done with it, as it was causing nothing but chaos in his life. The problem in Hip Hop is, audiences want you to be the person you say you are on wax, and the image you portray has to be real. And some people don’t realise it’s just a strategy to sell records, that it’s just Fantasy, and they will pull your fucking card if they think you're a liar. That's where your street credibility comes from. And that's when the problems start, because as Tupac found out when he got shot the first time and went to jail, you will eventually run into real life criminals who will act friendly at first, because they want a piece of your action $$$, but when you don't play ball, things get real ugly. These are people who will intimidate, extort, frame you for crimes they committed and even go so low as to try and kill you to get what they want from you. When he went to jail, he was suffering with PTSD after getting shot, he was angry and didn't know who he could trust anymore. He came out of Jail on a warpath, and the aggression he had inside him took over, and this mind state was fatal for him. When he joined Death Row, Tupac was forced into playing that same "Tough guy, gangster" persona again while he was there, otherwise he would have been undermined at every turn and not have been taken seriously, by Suge and his crew. It was survival of the fittest mentality at Death Row, with violent beatings delivered to those artists, producers and technicians deemed soft or weak. So Tupac really did not want to be seen as a pushover. As well as that, Tupac felt a deep sense of loyalty to Suge Knight, who posted a $1m bail to get him out of jail. Tupac felt obligated to play along in this dangerous game, in the ruthless environment of the Death Row Record Label. But for the first time he also felt that he was around a group of people who had his back, so naturally he had theirs too. And as Death Row postured themselves as Gangsters, making money off of this 'Image' and becoming further and further embedded with the L.A gang culture, they had real life enemies in the streets such as the Southside Crips, a long time rival of the Mob Piru Blood gang Suge surrounded himself with. The Southside Crips were envious and jealous of their success and fame, and so wound up aligning themselves with New York's Bad Boy Record label, going so far as providing unofficial security for Sean Combs and Biggie Smalls when they came to L.A. Tupac suspected Sean Combs and Biggie had prior knowledge of his shooting before he went to jail, and felt they intentionally never warned him beforehand. One night after that fateful Mike Tyson fight, some of the Death Row entourage, including Tupac were walking through a Las Vegas hotel one of the Death Row entourage spotted a young man named Orlando Anderson, a Southside gang member. He whispered in Tupac's ear and Tupac took off running after him, and punched him. The other Death Row members then joined in, and rushed him, kicking and beating Anderson. What Tupac didn't know at the time was that the guy he punched, Orlando Anderson, was a known shooter for the the Southside Crips, and he was a suspect in multiple murder investigations. A Real Gangster, in other words. Anderson couldn't take the humiliation of being beaten so publicly, and so went looking for all of them. He found Tupac and the others near the Vegas strip, and shot Tupac, killing him six days later when he succumbed to his injuries. That's what really happened, and I know it sounds too simple but it’s the truth. His Murder was the first time a high profile rapper had been gunned down. There are rumours that Sean Combs put out a $1m contract on Suge and Tupac, but it can't be proven, so I'll leave that where it is, just hearsay. What I mean to say, is that Hip- Hop was still in its infancy and in its infancy, people within Hip- Hop couldn't (or wouldn't) separate real street life from the music, and so people like Suge Knight, who had an obsession with being feared, didn't realise that surrounding Death Row with known gang members was inevitably going to drag these gang rivalries into the realm of his record label as well. Maybe he did know, and just didn't care. But that’s ultimately what got Tupac killed. A tragic victim who got squeezed out between two warring gangs. He was loyal to a fault, getting in the middle of feuds he had no business being anywhere near, because of his very human need to belong and be loved, and it cost him his life... RIP to Tupac ❤
You are truely a leader yourself because u understood what this young man was about to become I knew something was coming when I read in a interview he saying the next election he would be there across from the runners I feel he would have ran for Office in government to bring changes or try
2PAC is my generation and since then my generation has never been the same. Spoke truth to power. I am not a man but I would have been right by his side changing the world. My faith is bigger than my fear. PERIODT.
What a shame. Such a talented man, who could grow even further. How many other young black man, are not given opportunities in this country, and despite of that grow high. Intelligent, passionate, talented. Killed prematurely. What a huge loss.
I've always felt that the world was a bigger fan of Tupac the person, than Tupac the rapper, and this video shows one of the reasons why. He's the one rapper where I could feel the weight of his emotions when he speaks and it's like you could almost physically touch and feel the conviction in his voice when he says something. Which is why I was so upset at the All Eyez On Me movie cause whenever Demetrius Shipp spoke, because I didn't hear the signature passion in his voice that Tupac had. Whenver 2pac speaks, you 100% could feel that he truly believes in what he's saying, the Demetrius Shipp on the other hand just sounded like a guy reciting lines with a raspy voice.

A natural born leader. He has influenced and led millions with his music and messages. Thank you Tupac!
His music's truly timeless, such a well spoken man who comes across so well in his old interviews. He truly came too soon, if only he was around today fighting for change! RIP Pac truly one of the greats ❤️
Tupac is my hero love you bro
Man, when Pac came out of jail he lit the world on fire. His music got me through a lot in my younger days and until now. He is so inspiring. 💯💯💯
You can tell he's really from the hood. Unlike these industry rappers.
There well never be another pac period 💯💯💯 definitely had a Mission you can tell and he just told you don't send me to jail he's going to be more potent and everything and you're adding more fuel to the fire and that's exactly what happened he was definitely on a different level
Lol
Idk man...people said there’d never be another Malcolm X...Tupac took it further..maybe we’ll get a Pac 2.0
"I cant change all this dirt thats here... But i can put it all in this corner" Amazing mentality. I had no idea Pac had those plans for the community!
I will never get tired of hearing his voice..... all he is saying is so relevant today 🤔
His mother made him read the newspaper every night
He was just a Prince in time with so much swag
Yo Tupac seems so chill.
Wish he was still here World would be so much different
y'all this guy is a legend. his smartness was a blessing and a curse. he is so unique and let not mention his good looks 😍 them big eyes just something about them stands out. he in general stands out as a person inside and out.
One thing I like about Tupac, he never avoided a question even if it was out of context. One thing I wish he did was play the industry different.
This man was soooooooooo smart at 23 24 25 rip honorees we still riding
Tupac will stand the test of time. He was in it for longevity
My hero. I wish everyday he was still alive ❤ Tupac forever
If your background is associated with the Black Panthers, and you were outspoken and becoming something BIG in the media, then you become a target.Pac knew it from day one. RIP 2pac.
The Best Rapper That Ever Grace This World 🌍…. We miss U PAC
"They all want to know what I have in plan for young black males, It makes me want to rise up to the expectations, I will give my whole life to thug life." You sure did Tupac, nobody has had an impact like you. We need more heroes in our present. People that understand what the real life is.
We need more people to stand up and show say, what real life is about.
I just love the way he used to articulate issues....
"If I have to go to jail I don't even want to be living, I want to just cease to exist for however long they have me there and then when I come out I'll be reborn"
And true to his word that's how Tupac Died and Makavelli was born.
Fresh out of jail: First rapper to drop a double album and best-selling rapper of all time (1996).
Damn, that man was beautiful...the world wasn't ready for Pac when we got him, but like he said, "there was no spot for Tupac..." homie was on a whole other level, it still hurts my heart to this day that he had to go the mansion so young. . .
Amen
He was just so ambitious and incredibly inspiring. As a young 20 something speaking on experience he's had that we expect an older man to have had is so incredible. And you can tell the pressure he had from the interviewer (white audiences) and simultaneously the pressure from black and spanish groups to have him be their representative and protection and vice versa was weighing on him but he expressed that perfectly. I just wish someone was around to uphold the ideals he created for our community that sadly went uncompleted.
THE REALEST 💖💖💖 WE MISS YOU PAC !!!

Not ONCE this did this man say "uhmm" or "uhh" before his replies. NOT ONCE! You know how hard that is, especially under the lights & being recorded by cameras all around? His confidence and intelligence was far beyond what we could understand...

This interview was conducted on March 9, 1994. This was part of the promo run Tupac did for "Above The Rim".
so it should say 94 instead of 93

Hearing him speak gives me goosebumps
Rip to a LEGEND 💪🏾💜🙏
Luis Rodriguez Tech N9ne. Originato. Innovator. Intelligent. All these rappers want to be him.
Yup. That's a large part of why people are enthralled with him. He speaks English better than a kindergartner, which no other rapper will do.
U say some pretty good stuff bro

Tupac Shakur is the greatest of all time
Young smart successful man rip 🌹
He told THEM his whole plan. This is what they do. They hem us up, then interview us to basically get ALL the information they need. Yeah...the artist gets paid to do the interview, but you giving them what they want. Listen to the questions they ask him. HE should've told them to keep they money and kept his mouth and his opinions to himself and shared this info with his loved ones!!!
Absolutely sister. Same thing that happened with Malcolm. It's a very potent old trick that never dies. I wish we all can see right through it.
That was what made him whom he was! fearless and bold! for he was aware of all that has happened, was happening and was gonna happen
Then the next person up wouldn't have the blue print
In all honesty he just shouldn't have swung on Orlando and he'd be here today. He would have moved up into politics and become a powerful force. Miss this dude so much but he just made a bad decision in Vegas that night.
@@charlesvalerio7718 he was killed by the goverment and crooker cops !!
2Pac, LOVE YOU EVEN AFTER I DIE.
When he said that makes me scared but it makes me want to rise to the occasion...
It would've been incredible to see Tupac in 2021
2PAC is my generation and since then my generation has never been the same. Spoke truth to power. I am not a man but I would have been right by his side changing the world. My faith is bigger than my fear. PERIODT.
"I'm an innocent kinda guy" ha, I love that
2pac is a prophet , exactly all the think he said on this interview came to pass .
