I really do appreciate a nice connected feeling you get from the analog bike, BUT I really do also understand the how secure you feel later on in your laps when you are so locked in and focused and the aids allow you to ride comfortable without mistakes catching your day inna bad way.
My ‘16 R1 got stolen, got a ‘16 R6 SE and I must say: the lesser is more fun in the twisties and on the straights I’m able to keep up with the litter bikes. Only thing I miss is the sound of the cross plane engine linked to an Akrapovic full exhaust 😢.
Love my 2011 R6. This bike is super fast and light, it makes you want to Twist it harder every time you ride it. Beautiful Candy apple red / Raven Black.

Correct. They’re beasts. They are designed to do one job - get you around the track as fast as possible with X powerplant…. Being a mechanical mind myself - I’ve always been amazed at the engineering of the Yamaha. They really think ahead. Impressive stuff.
Im on an 02' and have rode all gens of R6. They can be aggressive as you want them to be. Well into my 40's. Still getting it. Take care of your bike. Respect your bike most importantly!❤

Less bottom end but a bit more top end, handles a lot better due to geometry.
It's also prettiest bike ever made. Wish I could my hands on one that isn't a salvage title.
