- The winningest coach in NCAA Volleyball history, Roger Gorayeb joins Denden and Anton for Episode 16 of Volleyball DNA. Coach Roger candidly speaks about how he started his coaching career at the age of 23 while still being a student at San Sebastian College-Recoletos in 1984. The fiery mentor also shares some of his most memorable recruitment stories including those of Gretchen Ho, Alyssa Valdez and Jia Morado in an effort to strengthen the Ateneo Lady Eagles' bid for a championship in the UAAP. So many eye-opening stories told by a man who dedicated his life to game and the players that he loves.

I've been seeing Coach Roger at San Sebastian when I was still a student . Sobrang strikto nya sa mga players the reason why the players are really performing well in NCAA. They are not using the elevator instead the players are using the stairs going to the gym. The gym is located in the 5th floor, so grabeng warm up for the players. I even saw how Latigay and Devanadera played even Gorostiza na talagang super lakas with matching power spikes. Thanks to Coach Roger Gorayeb.

I do really like coach roger. Since fab 5 era.. I know how good he is...i know how thankful ALE's to him. When he started to coach ale.. gumanda ng gumanda ung vb program ng ateneo. Hnd man nakapgchampion during his time pero tumatak ang ales na hnd pinapansin dati.....became so very popular and talented players.

Sobrang bold at totoo ni coach kaya lalong pinagpapala ni Lord, kahit sobrang haba nitong vid na to at paputol putol ang panonood ko dahil sa house and school works solid!! Sulit talaga!! I'm very much thankful na isa ko sa nakatulong na dumalo sa event for coach last year. Dami kong natutunan kay coach roger grabeee. Iba kasi sa bansa natin haysss 2 months ! Tas gusto may medal gunggong nga. Kahit gaano kagaling ang player mo kung walang chemistry and walang exprience sa ibang bansang player malabo talagaa. Sa ibang bulsa kasi napupunta yung pera.

I finally got the chance to watch this episode. Coach Ger, you were the first coach in the collegiate team that I idolized and I'm so happy that through the years u never changed. U were one of the reasons I became a fan of ALE and forever I will. Like what you've said it should be thick and thin win or lose you should stay with the team. Lodi coach!

sinayang talaga yung core ng U23 2015.
That's what I thought also. 😢 Very promising iyong U23 line up kahit ilang linggo lang sila nagtrain pero swak ang chemistry, consistency lang talaga kulang at players during their U23 stint. Pero pag nagtrain sila more than a month with potential players and good system ni Coach Gorayeb siguro tayo pasok sa poduim.

I remember nung HS club team namin Dito, ineexposed na kame against sa mga men’s team, tapos pinapasali din kami sa mga open tournaments, and kahit ung score namin d umaabot ng 10 points at knowing na ang age average ng team eh nsa mga 16-18 palang kame nun, kahit bugbug okay Lang, off season kung Tinatawag. pra Pag dating ng boys season kung Saan pumupunta kame sa SCVA, Las Vegas classic, at ung national championship sa Texas, eh prang Wla nalang ung mga nakakalaban namin, we placed 28 out of 200 club teams which is not bad for a hawaii team knowing na limited Lang ung resources kasi maliit Lang naman Ang Hawaii compared sa cali at vegas..
I remember nung first year ko, ung pinaka matangkad sa team namin which is middle blockers eh kasing ttangkad Lang namn ng mga libero na nakakalaban namin, imagine nalang ung mga hitters at setters, lahat nsa 5’9 pataas ung height.
Sana nga mangyari ung ganitong program sa pinas na supported lahat, pra Pag dating ng panahon, makakasabayan din sila sa ibang team, and chances of winning would be big! ♥️ aloha peeps share ko Lang namn 🤙🏽☺️
