Brioche…bungled! I got about 4 (8) rows in, and now I’m unable to identify my error. 4th attempt and I thought I had it all figured out. Waaanh! I think I’m going to start a new one altogether. It was so fun until that point. 😮😢
I had shoulder pain in the past from knitting. I switched to continental and that is a lot better for my shoulder. Then I had an accident and ruptured a tendon in my wrist. That’s when I learned Portuguese knitting where you move the thread with your left thumb instead of using your right. Since my recovery I knit continental and purl Portuguese. My purling goes faster than the knitting with that technique. And the advantage is that one row you work more with the right hand and the other with the left
I love seeing all the innovation! Even after a late restart (ripped out and restarted the first brioche band), I finished a day early for Clue 2! Woo hoo! Just waiting eagerly for a longer needle so I can take a photo. 😊. I knitted much of Clue 1 while we were in our camper van on the Pacific Coast with our dog and our cat! Then Clue 2 dropped and we made a special trip to town to get cell service so that I could download the pattern and watch the video. I have yet to make a live Humans of Westknits, but almost always catch the replay, and I appreciate the opportunity to join in this way. ~Brenda
Ohhh! I'm so glad you spoke about a Julie Knits in Paris workshop! I've signed up for one end of November, and I can't wait! That's why I've decided not to do brioche on this shawl (embracing my pace, half way through the bubble drop stitch row - adding beads, though😂). I want to keep up as well as possible with this MKAL, but look forward to properly learning brioche and fully concentrating on it after the workshop! Thanks so much for this series! It's so inspirational ❤❤❤
How wonderful to have Amy join you today. I'm still going super slowly on clue 1, but I am very excited to see where tomorrow goes. I missed being with you all today. Work gets in the way of too much life.
Thank you Irina & Martin..and of course the lovely and enchanting Amy.So glad I did eyelets..that is all.😉Go well and enjoy the next clue everyone.👋🦘❤🐨🌏xx
Ha!!! I messed up a bit if shawlography brioche. I mostly fixed it:invisible on one side, light stitch showing on other side…. A couple of coordinating sharpie markers fixed it forever……
Irina, I’m wondering if my first 100g MC will last thru the rest of clue 2. I’ve 17g left and just completed both my rows 3 in the 2nd brioche section. Fingers crossed. Im sad I missed u guys today! Good luck everyone!
I messed up the bubbles lol - and had to frog from the middle of the brioche section to correct it. I was holding my breath - but managed to get it all back on the needles, corrected, and brioche restarted. Hope I can avoid frogging this again! Lol
Great episode 🏴
I think the fourth week will have more border but also pick up and fill in the centre

Thank you. It’s hard to find time when everyone can join, so I hope replays allow you to feel like you’re a part of this community

Oh no! Glad you were able to fix it
How many bubbles does everyone have in 3rd and final row?
I’ve got 65 full ones
