Top Gear 2 - Canterbury Plains (Allan Zax remix)

- This is a recreation of the "Canterbury Plains" theme from the Sega Genesis (Megadrive) version of the game Top Gear 2 developed by Gremlin Interactive and released on 24 May 1994.
The original Sega Genesis score was written by Ashley Bennet, Paul Bennet, Neil Biggin and Patrick Phelan and was very influential to me and my music.
This is by far my favorite racing game from the 16bit era and I love its awesome Genesis version OST.
I now have the chance to give this favorite melody of mine a different spin in the Drum & Bass genre.

I remember this track... It's so nostalgic, I only Only had 8 or 9 years, when my dad brought this game to the house and played in multi-player campaign and both we're eliminated in Meteora circuit. 😭😭😭

@@AllanZax I was playing it on my SNES the other day !!! You should look into remixing Street Fighter EX 1 (Arcade version) music !!! Also check out the Motorhead OST from Olaf Gustafson. I think you'll fall in love !!!
I haven't played these so probably wont go for a remix as nostalgia is one of the main driving forces behind my remixes, but I'll check the tunes nonetheless. 🙂

Thanks again for the remix and making me relive my childhood. I played Topgear 1, 2 and 3000 probably 10 times in my childhood and listening to these songs in my 30s makes my heart sing. Thank you for the nostalgia.

I only played Top Gear 2 on the Mega Drive and it was my favorite racing game (still is one of my favorites)!

My hardware studio setup is the cover image of my channel and as for the software I use Studio One as my daw and lots of vst instruments like Spire, Hive, Nexus, Omnisphere and others plus my Virus Ti2 hardware synth. :)
