I don't know what it is with this song but each time when they harmoinze on 'If you want me, do come acrooooooos' it sends shivers right down my spine. This song is such an underappreciated banger.

Agree, Love Floor and Marko's back and forth vocals. Yup growling, now that you have heard this and Yours Is an Empty Hope, you have heard all the growling she did with Nightwish. At least to date, we don't know yet if she does any on the upcoming album, Yesterwynde which is due out Sep 20. The first single from that will be released May 21, it's called "Perfume of the Timeless" and is supposed to be about 8 1/2 minutes.
Ghost River is an Anette era song from the Imaginaerum album. Tuomas has said that this song is a duel between the Devil and Mother Gaia. A darker song, he also said that "Since this is a dramatic album about the celebration of life and existence, you need the dark side as well."

I guarantee that by the end you will have nothing to say - you will just be sitting there slack-jawed like the rest of us thinking that if we could sell our loved ones for the chance to have been there then we would without a second thought. Of course remorse will start to set in later until we then get the chance of the Wembley, Buenos Aires and Tampere gigs as well. If time travel was invented would we go back in history to right the wrongs, or would we just go to all the good gigs? We know the answer......

One thing I want to mention. If you want a shock and shit your pants, react to ReVamp - Disdain Live at Graspop (2010). This Floor performance will have your jaw on the floor. Her band before she joined Nightwish. Just saying.

I've always thought that Ghost River's opening riff was heavily inspired by Van Halen's Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love opening riff. Nothing wrong with being inspired by another artist or group, if anything it's a compliment. (Just my thoughts) :)

You could put every lead singer of every group in existence since 1990 on one stage and they would not have more stage presence than Floor by herself. Last album didn't have a song this good, the new album will not have a song better than Ghost River.
You want different Nightwish, its hard to beat how heavy ,MASTER,PASSION GREED is, Nightwish so angry do hurt that they made death metal if only for a song
