The time has finally come boys, the game comes out on February 4th! I've been looking forward to this for years. You can see that I was even excited for the game over 2 years ago in my "without weapons" challenge. I don't think I'll be doing an entire gameplay of Dying Light 2, but I'll definitely play the first couple hours or something. And obviously I'll be doing loads of challenges on it too. I can't wait

God the nostalgia this brings back, I finished the game with all the characters. Including the bonus character that you get after finishing the game if i remember correctly.

One of the best movies ever made, i remember when my mum told me to watch it when i was about 12, it blew my mind, i was laughing the whole way through, we watch it every now and then to this day, just a masterpiece

Dead Island is so underrated. I beat the first one in a matter of like 3 days a couple years ago, and although I have the sequels I just haven't gotten to them yet, but either way, I will always treasure the first one even if it's pretty poorly rated amongst gamers

I loved Dead Island so much. Had such a Blast playing through these Games many many Times😎🥳
I loved dead island too, but I got real annoyed at the end of the story. I had been doing all the side missions in my play through, but when I unlocked the last mission, I still had heaps left in the voodoo bit. I got the message when I started Rd the prison mission saying that "once I start the prison section, I wouldn't be allowed back." I took that to mean I had to finish the prison missions and story and then just be put back on the island, but nope, it just rolled credits and wouldn't let me back. So I went to cheese it with Ng+, but that just leveled up all the zombies too and I couldn't be bothered doing it all again :/
Definitely underrated. A ton of great storytelling, set pieces and gameplay in this one. Perfect? Nah. Really good? Yes!
The others are really bad (in my opinion) there really rushed and the graphics somehow feel worse then the original even though they came out later
Thank you for playing this game for I have a copy for the Xbox 360 but got it from goodwill so I had the scrachiest disk ever conceived how do you mess it up that bad so thank for letting experience this game through random jokes and dumb strategies

I have a copy of riptide on Xbox360. I CANNOT believe they got rid of Johns super kick in the ps4 version. That shit was the most entertaining thing ever on Xbox360.

Dead island always brings back such great memories I have countless hours in the first one and it's honestly one of my fav games.
@Mister Majestic it’s extremely cheesy. Back when the ps4 came out I couldn’t afford one as I was still in high school. So I stuck with my Xbox360 for years. I only had a limited number of games and one of the games I would cycle through was riptide. I got so good at riptide that via ng+ I could complete it a max of 27 times in one day. Not an exaggeration. If I kept it up I don’t doubt that I could’ve held glitchless speedrun world records LMAO.

This game was special, it was like having THE zombie game in your hands! All of the hype got me going and I adored the first game! And THEN dying light came out and it's just...perfect for me! I've beat both games many times and they hold a special place in my heart!
Logan, other than Xian, was like the best character in the game his throwing abilities are insanely OP and his fury is badass.
What I really like is, his throwable can be returned like boomerang. Even with the explosive knife (one time weapon)
Man, I loved playing this game back in the day. The way you could upgrade the weapons was so great!
I remember this game, getting so much shit when it came out, just due to the themes compared to the trailer but replaying it recently, its actually pretty good, holds up quite well.

Ah Dead Island, the game that first made me a fan of Techland. Great choice choosing Logan for this challenge, build him right and you can use a certain developer knife to one shot everything...and have it always boomerang back. I think it's called the "mindblower" Dev blueprint. Also how the hell did you not know about the Ram's weakness?! What have you been doing all the time?!🤣

Dante’s story is a tragic one full of adventure, friends and then immediately losing those friends. But as the hero does, he treks on. Maybe one of these days his friends will actually survive a challenge

love the video, gotta say though, while i can see going pure throwing being somewhat of a challenge i really recommend that challenge to everyone trying the game. logan and throwing stuff is just so much fun, like really its an incredible fun playstyle, and aside from weapons randomly despawning it isn't that hard but totally awesome ^^ .
still, love all your challenges, even if that one was kinda actually supported by the game unlike the stuff you normally do it was still awesome to see :D

Throwing weapons only is basically any playthrough with Logan and Bolo machete.
I actually did this exact style of playthrough of Dead Island years ago and is still my favourite way to play the game. Logans skill tree is insane with throwing abilities to the point where you could kill multiple enemies with one throw from miles away. Add the element of throwing weapons not causing them any damage just made this the best way to play the game. Throwing Electric kartanas and poison machetes will never not be fun

Unfortunately for me it's the opposite of ur opinion. They downgraded when they made dying light. No boots on the ground. Only good thing in dying light was night mode. Everything else made the game boring

I used to freaking love Logan in this game. His fury ability was by far the most over powered. Not only does he throw like 4 throwing stars at once which oneshot almost all enemies but they also had like a splash damage effect to take out like another 3 enemies and he can throw like 3 times. You could probably kill like 30 zombies with his ability while Purna can only get 6 cause hers is a revolver and everyone else doesn't have a limit but they're melee users so the number of zombies you could get was very limited since you don't have a lot of time to run around killing zombies. Might only get 2 - 3 or you could get 10 if you're lucky. In the short term his ability to throw weapons harder, farther and the occasional boomerang was also pretty nice to have since ranged weapons and guns are none existent like the first half of the game too. John was also pretty fun to use in the second game mainly cause he could ragdoll enemies with his super kick ability though. The others were kinda lackluster for me though.

My favorite build is Logan , with throwing skills and maxed out inventory of knives only. Really satisfying.
I still play it. Xian is my go to. I always carry at least three knives with me, on every character, because it's nice to get that ranged damage beforehand. Minus the weapon disappearing under the ground if you miss glitch.

Sidenote. The glitches in this game are what help make it so fun and replayable. I can't tell you how many times my friends and I played through it with random things happening that made us laugh so hard we almost peed.

Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide are both fantastic games, sure they're full of bugs and other glitches but they add character to these small zombie hack n slash games. Love to see them getting the attention they deserve
The final boss is a one hit wonder if you managed to find the one skull that when placed gives you a way to craft a certain knife. Loved this game beating it with all four characters.

You should do a hand to hand combat weapon only challenge or a guns only challenge ammo is hard to get so I think it'll be cool and in one of the early missions you can get a revolver

Ok, this is one of my fav games of all times and the only game that it's really similar to Dying Light. Both are first person, post apocalyptic full of zombies with main and side missions, where you craft weapons and level up your character. Both are amazing and wish Dead Island 2 would come out like DL2, but it's been years of development, so I don't think it'll ever come out haha. I CAN'T WAIT FOR DL2 MAAAAAANNNNN!!!!!!!
And just a tip for this video: if you throw a weapon, you deal a lot more damage, specially if it's a sharp one. Haha.

Back when I had modded weapons on the 360 version of dead island, I threw a really nice wakazashi into a zombie and it just passed through the ground, good times.
I love how the developers kept some of the same physics from dying light
