At the time it was true though. He didn’t really progress at all in featherweight. Once he moved up to lightweight, you could see growth and see how much Dustin improved over time.

It's strange how Conor kept saying in the build up to the first fight that Poirier looked afraid. Brandao looked terrified of McGregor in the weigh in, he kept absolutely silent and looked panicked and yet Conor never once mentioned it. Poirier just looked angry, he didn't even flinch when Conor threw his hand up. While I could understand saying he's panicked by the media, he certainly didn't look or act scared of Conor, overcompensation or not.
