I lost my brother to cancer in the march of 2014, his name was Ashoor. I listened to this kalaam in the initial days of Muharram. It brought out the everlasting pain back to surface. I then could not dare to listen it again. This is the second time I am listening this kalaam again. Now it is me, a commoner, a slave of Maula Imam Hussain Alaihissalaam and Maula Abbas Alaihissalaam lamenting the loss of my brother, who too was a commoner and a slave of Maula Imam Hussain Alaihissalaam and Maula Abbas Alaihissalaam. It is out of bounds for commoners like us to even imagine the pain that our master Maula Imam E Hussain Alahissalaam had to endure while sitting beside the dying lion, Qamr -e -bani- Hashim - Maula Abul Fadhl Abbas Alaihissalaam. It send my spine to shivers imagining it and my heart sinks when I even attempt to do so. Maula Imam Hussain (A.S) and the day of Ashoor and the holy companions of Shaheed -e- Aazam shall remain a beacon of enlightenment for the entire humanity till the day of reckoning strikes.
