I love Sony cameras but on the budget end, Osmo pocket 3 is the no-brainer pick. Especially if you're new to content. The lack of IBIS on the zv-e10 means you have to be very mindful about your movements and filming. Any beginner is just going to have super shaky footage or weird stabilisation artefacts with the digital stab.

Struggling with choosing a system for vlogging + short form content. Was considering ZVE1 + 16-55mm f2.8 but just played with the Panasonic S9 + Sigma 16-28mm f2.8 and I’m more confused as ever 😅
DJI osmo pocket 3 would be the best bank for your buck! I record my vlogs with it if you guys wanna check it out. But for 700$ you get an amazing 4k camera 24-60fps, built in stabilizer, could link to your phone and control it, comes with extra battery, DJI mic 2 which sounds amazing!, and carrying bag! It’s a perfect setup for new/shy vloggers bc you don’t have a huge camera walking around. Totally worth it (One thing to mention, my ND filters are on the way! So I haven’t taken full advantage bc ND filters completely change how the film looks with shutter speed and everything)

That’s exactly how I feel. But it surprises me everytime when I film and get to the editing process. It forces us to be creative in capturing our day, and we get to enjoy looking back and reliving the moment. Give it a try before you feel ready I’d say!

I got myself a ZV E10 Mark ii, but right now the A6700 is on discount for just, 1350€ and the ZV E10 II was for 1090€ and it's still in package so I give it back and buy myself a Sony A6700, do you think that's a good idea for beginner ? I think it's good for me so I (as a developer) can start creating product photography for customers to.

I prepared some cool interior design so the shots will be aethetically pleasing but for now i only bave canon m50 mark II woth sigma 16mm 1.4 and well either my head i cropped or i am standing 1.5meter away from my rode nt usb mic:D

@@iamchrisyap It's a true hybrid camera so much everything, but in a MicroFourThirds body which makes it more compact and lightweight for travel. Lens options are pretty affordable too.
Agree a lot with mostly all that has been said, but please dont, NEVER, compare cinema cameras and dslrs. Although the specs can be similar, if u try to use one of both to what its expected to not use It, you Will find out why they're so diferent. I found this out while studying cinema at school, few months ago i didnt understand why fx30/3 was way better for video than a7IV, sooo hope this comment helps. Great and informative video! I'm looking for a new vlogging camera and currently use the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, but I'd like to switch to Sony because I'm not a fan of the gimbal effect on the DJI. I've been considering the Sony ZV-E10 II with the Sony E 10-18mm OSS F/4 lens, as the ZV-E1 is out of my budget. My concern is whether there will be significant shake in the footage since the camera lacks stabilization. Would the Sony ZV-E10 II with the 10-18mm OSS lens be a bad choice?
When it’s on the wider end like 10-18, usually the shakes wouldn’t be as noticeable. And if you’re trying to avoid the OSMO pocket’s gimbal look, the slightly camera shakes should be ok for you. I used a zv-e10 with Tamron 11-20mm previously, was pretty happy with it. I would get a f2.8 lens instead of the Sony f4, either the sigma 10-18 or Tamron 11-20 The extra depth of field and light would be very helpful
I been shooting all my vlogs with DJI Osmo using ND filters and then I couldn’t be bothered always working about filters and lighting etc… Now shoot in full auto mode with no ND and for UA-cam videos there nothing working with that. Not sure why everyone so into cinematic these days? I shoot cinematic sequences in my series but the DJI is an absolute game changer for just pulling out my pocket and recording. Also I don’t even use the mics anymore 😆 keeping it so simple. As photographers and videographers we worry about all the details but then you see other UA-cam channels that are doing so well and getting crazy views but terrible quality videos. Seems as long as viewers are interested no one cares about what we photographers stress about 😆

In my brief experience, I’ve found it essential to have both! The thumbnail should be attractive, sparks interest and curiosity enough for people to click and give the video a shot.
@@iamchrisyap makes reflections and bright light more Dim and smooth. What you do may not need one. I film tech products I don’t like light bouncing off with reflections.

@@iamchrisyap oh I live in Seoul, and we have plenty of gear available. Choosing the right one is super challenging. I cannot decide between a lantern and a dome, I feel like a lantern more cause it's more convenient and quick unfolding is dope, and that black skirt for adjusting light direction..
You're actually right!! Thanks for telling me that. It depends on the size of your space. The 66cm one in my apartment is already massive. Can't imagine having the 90cm one.. I'd get an even smaller one if possible tbh.
DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Bought it for shooting vlog and social media content at our BJJ gym at first but we even used it as the main podcast camera a couple times lol. Now that I think of it, I think I'd recommend getting the Osmo Pocket 3 over a full frame camera to start out. Creator combo has everything you need (mini tripod + dji mic) except lighting which I would heavily suggest prioritizing for every beginner content creator. Exceptional image quality for such a small device, very versatile with shooting modes, easy switch between vertical/horizontal content, amazing low light performance, can shoot Log etc. etc. like it keeps going on. This baby looking thing is actually a beast
@sprihashrestha it’s decent, I would go for the ZVE10ii if possible. As a6400 is now 5 years old, you probably would want to go for the newer one to have it last longer.
@@matthewjsherman aperture affects the depth of field - how much is in focus. And shutter speed for how it captures motion. Higher shutter speed gives you smoother but less realistic/authentic visuals. And it could also clash with any spinning thing that makes it seem like it’s not moving - helicopters, moving cars, fans, etc.
Adjusting ISO is the same as adjusting the volume on your headphones when recording sound just because it sounds quiet. ISO doesn’t affect the light that’s coming into the sensor but your “perception” of the light that’s coming into the sensor. In other words. Keep a low ISO and add light if your scene is still dark, otherwise, you’re going to get grain, or in the recording analogy, you’d get noise floor, rather than clean audio.

I remember just few years ago even shooting at 1600 ISO was a pain. Now I can shoot in 12800 ISO and easily get a clean footage. 🤯🤯
Been using the Sony a6400, honestly such a great camera and recently purchased the Sony 11mm and love using my camera even more
I would like to upgrade to the a6700 for that 10bit but specs wise is pretty much the same

Yeah they’re both great. A6700 slightly better for photos if that’s what you need!

@sprihashrestha it’s decent, I would go for the ZVE10ii if possible. As a6400 is now 5 years old, you probably would want to go for the newer one to have it last longer.

why do people use ND filters rather than adjust ISO? ISO is light sensitivity right so why not change that
You want to maintain the base ISO ideally. That gets you the cleanest footage. The camera sensor is designed to function best at certain ISO

@@matthewjsherman aperture affects the depth of field - how much is in focus.
And shutter speed for how it captures motion. Higher shutter speed gives you smoother but less realistic/authentic visuals. And it could also clash with any spinning thing that makes it seem like it’s not moving - helicopters, moving cars, fans, etc.
Adjusting ISO is the same as adjusting the volume on your headphones when recording sound just because it sounds quiet. ISO doesn’t affect the light that’s coming into the sensor but your “perception” of the light that’s coming into the sensor. In other words. Keep a low ISO and add light if your scene is still dark, otherwise, you’re going to get grain, or in the recording analogy, you’d get noise floor, rather than clean audio.
That seems like a good idea. But what do you do when the iso is at 100 and it is still over exposed. That is where ND filters come into play.

@@____elden I was using a7c prior to this! I believe you can configure digital zoom with the button. Try looking that up!

Yeah it isn’t the cheapest. But in the upper range of highly functioning category it is the best bang for buck.
