Oh and the anesthesiologists' is either on his phone or napping.

That said, if this is a case of extreme bullying or an undiagnosed mental health condition then the parents may have had no idea the depth of their sons emotional issues. I prefer to wait for all the facts to present before passing judgement on the parents. Kids can be very adept at hiding problems from their parents. Time will tell.
I raised two sons in the same household and I have no idea why they ended up so different. What they get at home is just a piece of their personality. What happens to them outside of the home matters to. It's not all the parents fault. It takes a village to raise a child.
