I own a C109 and C10s. They are great speakers with a sharp and warm sound stage. I have to mention about the tower c109, the three speakers work very well managing its own range of frequencies and the tweeter is not over powering, it just blends with the lower frequencies in producing a warm soundstage. The center c10 is a beast.
I'm a bit sad they killed it but on the brighter side I'm glad I bought it.

I would pay even more these days for a good unmolested pair of D830 / Concert 8.

I have the C103 and C10, and they sound amazing. I was worried these would put aesthetics above performance.

Long gone is that distinctive Danish design we all used to love back in a day, sadly. Jamo is these days a little more than the Klipsch speaker with quirky unconventional design elements to distinguish is from the mainstream lines.
Owners of speakers from Jamo's Concert 5, 7, 8/11 and 800 series - cling onto them, don't ever let them go.

Your on the money I have a pair of Concert 11s with the impregnated sand in resin in the front baffle ...Classics I rarely see Jamo in my country any more seems to be a big market on bookshelf speakers these days I am sick to my back teeth of reviews on Klipsch kef and so on i think the hifi reviewers must get a pair for free if they give them a good score ...

@@fredfungalspore Bring back the original Danish design team. Unfortunately I heard most have left the company after the Klipsh acquisition and original Jamo factory move due to cited production cost-cutting reasons. The workers simply couldn't afford the added cost of travel, or move to the new city. Such a shame. That 'fire' and drive by the Jamo's tightly knit original team just isn't there anymore. Also, they used to make the speakers in Denmark, that part of the factory wasn't required, hence the move. I have a feeling only an industrial designer or two were left there and others are marketing and sales. Heard that most of engineering is done in US now.

@@drazenbabich Thankyou for reply regarding the demise of Jamo .It is sadly the way of the World to take over companies and there history and reputation disappears. One of my favourite Jamo were the revolutionary Jamo R 909 floor-standing dipolar speakers they received many accolades As you stated all the Jamo talent is no longer long gone.. interesting times ahead after the CV19 ends in the hifi industry...?

@@fredfungalspore Sadly Covid-19 will change many things including Audiophile market. We will all lay low for some time and be vigilant and careful about our next acquisition(s), if any. But one thing's for sure, if I come across any of the good old D, E or C series speakers from the past - I'll jump on that chance if the price is right.
As for the recent stuff coming out of Jamo - just look at the C90 series, it's a poor cousin to the now retired C100 series which was the last decent and respectable speaker set from Jamo, IMO. It had the right curves and finish (proper wood veneer), the C91/93/95/97 are a cheap, low cost caricature in comparison. Every new series came at the lower price point than the one it replaced. Concerto 8/11 was replaced by the C800 series at almost the half price which was then replaced with C90 again at almost the half price. How low the Jamo can go before it loses the remaining respect from the audiophile milieu?

David Wilkes, or anybody. I just got a pair of used Concert 11s. Has a newly rebuilt copper bullet midrange Without the ring around the outside of the driver. Sounds great, but obviously would be better with the ring?

i replaced C809 with C109, i bit brighter sounding than C809, but over the time they got better, but built quality of C109 much better than C809. I compared them to ELAC ADANTE AF61 ($5000) and C109 sooo much better sounding

Speakers are only as good as the amp your using full stop, if you have a good AA Class rated apm then most of the music you like will sound great especially if the speakers and OMS are rated at the right marks ? Also a real good quality turntable and amp combo and you cant beat it, or a DDD rated CD, most of the CD's out there are only AAA, which is analog to analog to analog, but DDD is digital to digital to digital recorded files. :) I brought Midnight Express when CD players first came out back in 1985/86 and to this day it still outperforms most 5.1 DVD soundtracks due to the high quality recorded music on it ?
