Opening day of the 2023 Morpeth Gathering

The 55th Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering began today.
Here’s a taste of the opening events.
Lots more tomorrow (Saturday) including singing and dancing in the streets, competitions, and the return of the street parade at 11am.
The three day festival concludes on Sunday.
