We just got one of these breakout boards here and are evaluating it. We need an accurate time reference for a "Signals of Opportunity" timing system we're developing.
I believe your comment that the clocks running at Boulder, below sea level, and up in space, all run at the smae rate is WRONG. They are located at different points in Earth's gravity well, and, because of Eisenstein (yes, that guy again) , time flows at a different rate for each of these cl cocks.. The orbiting satellite's clocks correct for this or else GPS would not work.
Hi Rob, at 1:30 you mention "one nanosecond per hour". Isn't this more like 0.1 second per hour? (30PPM) I'm afraid you are 7 or 8 orders of magnitude too optimistic ;)
If you need to deploy a system, look for a used Symmetricom SSU-2000, they're on the secondary market as telecoms switch to VoIP (or go out of business). Unless you just want to learn, then have fun.
With the assumption being that people will be buying your GPS location or timing reference receivers, I think this video is much too superficial. This seems geared toward an 8th grade science class, not someone who wants to implement an actual system using your product.
Thank you for all your videos. Just a comment - you don't ever need to add background music behind these types of videos. The background music is unnecessary and distracting, especially for people on the spectrum. Thanks for considering eliminating this unnecessary distraction. You can have a tiny bit of intro music or outro music, but never when someone is speaking. Thanks again for all your videos and info.
When you were talking about the clocks in the Rockies and Dead Sea you forgot about the effects of gravity and relativity. 😊

I have always want to play with gps disciplined crystal oscillators for making a frequency standard. Is nuts how accurate they can get.

I thought I needed gps timing to track MLAT data from ADS-B broadcasts...but it turns out I was grabbing it from other flights.

Rob, are you and Ava related. Your facial features look similar to me?
