Definitely a great idea...I have a ritual when I clean my bike, check everything over real well and grease my driveshafts. Then some finish work and it shines like new
you guys play in the best mud around. i have 07 800 outlander and i would love 2 give it hell in this kind of mud. good job with the vids. keep em comming. can-can 4 life!!
I have to give it to the guy on the gold 850.. he hits the holes the hardest... makes me think what he could do if he was on a can-am hahaha... keep the vids coming.. keeps me sane for my 7 days at work till i can get off and jump on my outty!
You bet...too narrow for us up here, 29.5" Outlaw 1's are about the best tire that we have found, and we have pretty much tried every good mud tire out there between all of us
@mauldin22 Yes, for sure, all of us don't run a lift or nothing over 2"s if any of us do, the lifts put the axle at more of an angle and makes them more succeptable to breaking
@Wellyaabuddyy Could be, but 1" bigger tire is only 1/2" more clearence, thye are fairly close. I think we've measuered both sitting on 29.5"s and the Outties are always a bit taller then the Gades, could be the A-arms
I used to get abouit 600 miles out of a Canam belt with my QSC MudPro clutch kit, But I have a full QSC primary now that works alot better then the stock Canam clutch. I am expecting 1000-1500 miles out of a belt now. The full primaries pinch the belt alot better causing no belt slip and extra wear and tear like the stock clutches
@maxpelletier123 Yes, we all run stock axles, the problem with the X-mr's is thast the air suspension cranked up to 6 puts a lot of angle on the axles, which makes them vulnerabl;e to the stress of mud riding, Try leaving your suspension on 4 or 5 and I bet you don't break anymore axles
Osta your videos are great man! Watch em any time im not on the trail. I agree with the suggestion about the cleanin vid. Even just a video explaining some of the basic underwater mods you can do. I ride an Outty 800 and id be stoked to see that.
@4chanhatesyoutodeath they are the same motor, trans and frame, so they are very similar, the Renegade has better shocks and is a little lighter not having racks, so It's better for fast trail riding, the Outlander has about 1" more clearence, It's really just personal preference, if they're set up the same it will come dowb to the rider on which perfroms better in a modhole. Both Excellent machines
yeah, i could. most atv manufacturers show garbage footage of weak trail riding. I have a 2011 KingQuad 400 FSI camo with 26x12x12 mudzillas all around. love the can-ams, just couldn't afford one.an 800 or a bigger KQ will be my next atv. subscribed. keep up the great videos :).
@My4arcticXcat4 For a little bit more the Canam 650 is head and shoulders over both of the models you mentioned, it packs more power then most everyone elses 800's
@bushwackersftw We don't ever turn peeps down, do you have a riding bud to come with? It's nice to have someone there to pair up with if anyone has trouble
I usually change a belt every 600-800 miles if I am doing all mud riding, trail riding a belt will last for thousands of miles, I have only ever broke 1 outer cv joint in 5 years of mudding. Most of us do not run any type of lifts just spring spacers, so the axles are at a lower angle, helps out a lot
There isn't a huge benefit to all wides and they are a few downsides, harder on front end parts, extremey unstable ndeep water(wants to float way too much) Almost all of us run the skinny wide combo, seem to work very well
all motors need some back pressure that mufflers provide, running no muffler or exhaust will cause the bike to run extremely lean which creates alot of heat that can do engine damage, maybe not in one ride but over time it will hurt the motor
@skininc69 Sweet way to spend a Sunday!!! lol, Yup we run only low as high would have us blowing belts like crazy with the big tires and crazy mud and water we have
@paigedooling Best place would be kijiji in Canada or craigslist in the states, keep your eyes open for a good deal, any major brand would make a great first quad
It's all opinion, The HMF Performance Series is loud and cheap, the LTE and Ron Woods are loud and expensive, pretty much any pipe sounds good on a Rotax...lol
Love these videos man, makes me want to come up to canada to try it. But somehow i dont think my '89 Honda TRX300 RWD is going to cut it :P guess its the oregon mountain trails and dunes for now :)
@ostacruiser I'm spending my Sunday watching all your vids. There all awesome so far. Are you guys running in high or low gear on the Outlanders and Renegades? You guys have some crazy wheel speed and roosts!
what the bees nees haha there are no kings in the video i know u have a video of sean haha but on the other note awesom video keep posting love to watch them.
I'd like to see a 1000 outlander with can am track system go through this mud. Not saying I would ever buy them (way to much) but would be cool to see what they can do.
Really enjoyed watching the video with my son. He just loves these types of vids. Thanks for posting.
It's awesome seeing those Can-ams rip through all that thick mud!
Definitely a great idea...I have a ritual when I clean my bike, check everything over real well and grease my driveshafts. Then some finish work and it shines like new
I can't get enough of these videos! And they're Canadian. I really need to get a GoPro!
you guys play in the best mud around. i have 07 800 outlander and i would love 2 give it hell in this kind of mud. good job with the vids. keep em comming. can-can 4 life!!
I have to give it to the guy on the gold 850.. he hits the holes the hardest... makes me think what he could do if he was on a can-am hahaha... keep the vids coming.. keeps me sane for my 7 days at work till i can get off and jump on my outty!
Nice Video...I really like the fact that you didn't ruin it with music playing over the sound of the quads.
9 minutes 6 seconds of outlaw tires domination of skeg.... Highlifter owes you tires for life for making this video!
John is a good buddy of mine. Great guy and awesome rider. I love your videos dude!! This one rocks!!
We rarely break axles....I love Canams....stout axles for sure, I have actually never broke an axle yet...lol, 3 seasons of WFO riding under my belt
Awesome mud action osta! Can't wait for new vids this spring. Let's see how all the new 1000cc s do!
Awesome video!!!! Looks like a shit load of fun. You guys have some great spots to ride.
You bet...too narrow for us up here, 29.5" Outlaw 1's are about the best tire that we have found, and we have pretty much tried every good mud tire out there between all of us
@mauldin22 Yes, for sure, all of us don't run a lift or nothing over 2"s if any of us do, the lifts put the axle at more of an angle and makes them more succeptable to breaking
well that's the coolest thing iv'e seen all day
That's a great way to do it, a bit here and there when a guy can afford it
man I luv that exhaust on those yellow can-am's
yet another SICK video from osta and the crew!!
@Wellyaabuddyy Could be, but 1" bigger tire is only 1/2" more clearence, thye are fairly close. I think we've measuered both sitting on 29.5"s and the Outties are always a bit taller then the Gades, could be the A-arms
WOW.... Best mudding video ever??? and i even got to make an appearance!!!!
The best mud vid I have ever seen!!!!
Best video yet, I love WOT vids. Those bikes sound great... except for the Arctic Cat.
@ProQuadro IMO, I think everyone makes a great ATV for 2012, but you can't beat the Rotax power of the Canams
I sooooo wanna come riding with you guys.. learn some things and have fun at same time
LOL
yes, you where kidding in the beginning
awesome
take care and let the good vids come
Alexander
I wash mine up showroom clean after every ride, only way to check it over good to make sure it's ready for the next ride
What you guys do is tight. Keep it up
you guys must come home with a sense of victory everyday!
Holy crap! Nuts! I don't know how they make it through some of that!
Osta your videos are great man! Watch em any time im not on the trail. I agree with the suggestion about the cleanin vid. Even just a video explaining some of the basic underwater mods you can do. I ride an Outty 800 and id be stoked to see that.
nice collaboration osta, that was pretty good.
It will turn them no prob, but you will have to have some good throttle control to keep the drivetrain in one piece in the thick mud
Awesome video. Wow. I'm going to look at a can am renegade 1k today. I'm happy I seen this video. Thanks a lot guys!!!
They are great machines, we have great luck with them holding up to the abuse we put them through
ohh, I see thanks for the reply and your videos are addicting to watch I love them.
I have seen this vid so any times but it is my favorite one by far.
Still frozen solid up here, going to a huge rally on the 21st....hope we have some mud
amazing cant wait till spring to get back out there
Right on dude, glad you like them
@4chanhatesyoutodeath they are the same motor, trans and frame, so they are very similar, the Renegade has better shocks and is a little lighter not having racks, so It's better for fast trail riding, the Outlander has about 1" more clearence, It's really just personal preference, if they're set up the same it will come dowb to the rider on which perfroms better in a modhole. great video! you guys should get your own part in the next mountains and mud vid.
The brother on the gold Popo is NOT scared!! No tires and no snorks!
this was badass. you guys know how to live!
Great video. Hello from Wisconsin.
lol....Mud´s already dripping off the screen...:D
Great Video!
yeah, i could. most atv manufacturers show garbage footage of weak trail riding.
I have a 2011 KingQuad 400 FSI camo with 26x12x12 mudzillas all around.
love the can-ams, just couldn't afford one.an 800 or a bigger KQ will be my next atv.
subscribed. keep up the great videos :).
They are a great atv with decent power, they can turn 29.5"s without much trouble
great stuff guys ,nice editing .That takes a lot of time and work .cheers Outlanderxxc1000
You can make your own by cutting 1.5" spring spacers in half for about $5 and yes you need them to run 29.5" tires
It can be for sure, it will make your motor run very lean and could cause engine damage
@gimlioffroader The stock plastic skids actually hold up very well, we don't do alot of rock bashing
@My4arcticXcat4 For a little bit more the Canam 650 is head and shoulders over both of the models you mentioned, it packs more power then most everyone elses 800's
Have to see what's out there!!!!
WOOOOOO!! awesome vid cant wait till spring time
@MrBassboy24 A Renegade 500 is a great machine, still tons of fun and more aggressively clutched then the Outlanders. I think it's a great first quad
They would both be very close in performance. The driver would make all the difference
Just found your guys. Sweet vids. Keep em coming.
This it real muddin unlike all these other videos where everyone's scared to get dirty
Thank you friend
There isn't a huge benefit to all wides and they are a few downsides, harder on front end parts, extremey unstable ndeep water(wants to float way too much) Almost all of us run the skinny wide combo, seem to work very well
Nope, John Ferretti did, he's a pit racer from the States, seems like a good guy. Bets of luck to him
That was me and that was my Sony TX5 mounted to my helmet
Can am makes the best quads. Even their race quad is good
all motors need some back pressure that mufflers provide, running no muffler or exhaust will cause the bike to run extremely lean which creates alot of heat that can do engine damage, maybe not in one ride but over time it will hurt the motor
Yes you bet, need one if you're going to be running any water over your tires
Sick vid guys some nasty mud getting dirty uyeerraaaa buddy
nope, just spring spacers...Canam axles do not like lifts over 2"s...we all run spring spacers and have very few axle issues
Another great video!!! Why doesn't the guy with the 850 have snorkels? You guys frickin rip it up, I love it, keepem commin!!!
Once these guys get mavericks these videos will be way better
this has to be the best quad mudding video I've ever seen, and who can dislike this... must be on crack
Just let er eat! Awesome video man!
@travisb101 Very well could be, I think he's from that area, not too sure exactly though
@JstaGoodoBoy01 LOL, I know, I can't wait for spring!!! North Central Saskatchewan
@skininc69 Sweet way to spend a Sunday!!! lol, Yup we run only low as high would have us blowing belts like crazy with the big tires and crazy mud and water we have
At 1:30 the white renegade with the long exhaust looks cool with the rain cap lol
Made my day. Nice video bull
Nice vid man !
osta, what are your favorite tires and wheel/rim diameter for mudding ?
@jmanwild Yup, we have very different land up here in the North
2009-2011 Canam Renegades and Outlanders, all 800cc's
@paigedooling Best place would be kijiji in Canada or craigslist in the states, keep your eyes open for a good deal, any major brand would make a great first quad
I love the skull look at 1:24
@wam2nice We love our 29.5" Outlaws on a 12" rim
Real quick question
would you prefer a Can AM 500 or a
Arctic Cat 550LTD for mudding mainly?
It's all opinion, The HMF Performance Series is loud and cheap, the LTE and Ron Woods are loud and expensive, pretty much any pipe sounds good on a Rotax...lol
Love these videos man, makes me want to come up to canada to try it. But somehow i dont think my '89 Honda TRX300 RWD is going to cut it :P guess its the oregon mountain trails and dunes for now :)
This one is a must watch! !!!!!!!
@ostacruiser I'm spending my Sunday watching all your vids. There all awesome so far. Are you guys running in high or low gear on the Outlanders and Renegades? You guys have some crazy wheel speed and roosts!
@MrBassboy24 With a 500 Renegade a 28" Zillas would kick ass, better clearence and nice and light so you can still spin them great
yup, exactly...got to tow it out...most times right where you just came through...sucks...lol
those renegads sound great are they stock exhaust
@21Wynkoop Thanks man, I CAN'T WAIT EITHER!!!!!!! lol
what does in your oppion better in really thick mud wide tires all around or skinny in front and wide in back
As often as we can, 2-4 times a month Spring to Fall
what the bees nees haha there are no kings in the video i know u have a video of sean haha but on the other note awesom video keep posting love to watch them.
I'd like to see a 1000 outlander with can am track system go through this mud. Not saying I would ever buy them (way to much) but would be cool to see what they can do.
@trokerdu45 LOL, too bad, but Yamaha builds a great Quad. Nothing beats the Rotax power of a Canam though....lol
