Personally, I'd hold onto it. There are bound to be at least two more spikes for him - retirement and HOF. Whenever you have one of the better RCs for one of the best to do it, there will always be a market for the card. BUT, it's your collection and if there is another vintage card that you would love more, I'd probably look at moving it too.
It is your collection, so it is ultimately your decision. I have stepped out and purchased several Lebron rookie cards already graded that were cheap enough just because I think they will go up. I don’t have the nice one like that. I try to diversify my “holdings”. I have, however, entered a point of realization that I can’t keep everything I have, so I am in a selling mood. No kids, only nieces and nephews that would sell for whatever they could get all for the next big pleasure in life. 🤔 Why not enjoy the benefits myself? Good luck with your decision, Ricky.
To me, I think it would depend on which vintage card I was trading for. If it is a vintage that you really want, then go for it. Not sure what your Lebron would grade at if you sent to PSA but I have seen them anywhere from $125 for a graded PSA 4 on up. Don't get me wrong, if I owned that Lebron, I would be tempted to keep it since it looks like it's in great condition and maybe just save up over more time to purchase the vintage card I wanted. Anyway, that Griffey Jr. also looked great, too!
