How (and when) will they bring Gambit back in X-Men '97.

- Do you have any other ideas or theories on how Gambit will be brought back? If so please share them! I'm glad Gambit got his epic moment, but it sucks that it was at so high of a cost..... :(
I love Gambit so much that I really want him to return this season. And I do agree that Gambit becoming Death would be more appropriate rather than time travelling to undo everything, erasing his heartbreaking sacrifice.
I really want him to come back this season too! But I just don't see how that is possible - well it is possible because they have rushed through other storylines....lol we will find out soon!

Since we are getting bits from several arcs and the series is advancing fast fast, I'd say Gambit is coming back in the season's finale....
I thought of "unleashing Gambit's full power" by Sinister too.... The series has been surprising us very much and so far the storyline has been coherent, from the comic books and Xavier's "premonition" in the 6th episode....
... What about combining the horseman with Sinister intervention?
Notice in this universe the techno-organic virus was Sinister's works, not Apocalypse's, and the xm97 prequel comics hinted Essex having a larger scheme going on, and the fact we, comic book avid readers are assembling possible ways to continue this story... 🤔

Well we know Cable makes an appearance in the next episode, but as I said I really don't think he's going to undo everything....Genosha getting destroyed was in the comic books......the last 3 episodes I think are Operation Zero Tolerance. I'm not a 100% sure though! Lol I never thought they were bringing Professor Xavier back this season.....lol

Gambit will probably be seen at the tail end of Season One and will be a driving force in Season Two.
He will become Apocalypse's Horseman, Death.
However, he will be brought back to life, and he will finally have his woman, Rogue.
Apart from Cyclops and Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Gambit and Rogue are my favorite couple in the X-Men comics.
And after all they have been through, they need a happy ending so badly.
They've earned it.
I don't like Gambit being Death, but if it gets Rogue and Gambit their happy ending then being it on. Lol
As long as they don't make him Death for over 2 episodes. I don't want them to drag it out. I mean look how fast they went through Inferno and Fall of the Mutants?!? LOL

@LucLightWolf121 Unfortunately it doesn't seem like he will be back thos season....I mean it took 6 episodes for us to get Xavier, 3 for Storm to get her powers back- which she was still absent from the latest episode........
In the comic's, Gambit returns as Death, a Horseman of Apocalypse. Seeing as how they are playing a little fast and loose with the source material, I'd expect to see him return at the end of ep.9 along side Sinister.
I know lol I feel like I had some idea of what they are doing? But when Professor Xavier appeared in episode 6 not I'm not so sure......lol
@kristenwilkinson5182 X-men has always thrown curveballs. Issues would end with everyone having a movie night and then the Manson just explodes.
I'm looking forward to them doing something like this on the show and can't effing wait.
@@darkknightlive I really thought they would have ended the show on the note that episode 5 ended on. Everyone would have been going crazy waiting for the next season. I'm not sure what they are going to do to top that? Lol
Nice analisis. Honestly I HATE THAT THEY GOT RID OF GAMBIT FOR THE SOAP OPERA WITH MAGNETO. The WAY it was made had TERRIBLE MISTAKES that ruined Gambit and Rogue's relationship. I like a bit of drama but to outright say "they didnt had and established relationship?!" C'mmon, GIVE ME A BREAK. Anyone who has seen the original series knows THATS BS. Also all the unrelented scenes of physical display Rogue did with another guy, just after half an hour? of breaking Remys Heart? TOTALLY OUT OF CHARACTER FOR ORIGINAL TAS ROGUE. I LOVE ROGUE. She is my favorite since I was a girl. Probably my first favorite female character. Because before her, all female characters seem boring to me. I had to say that the new series has great visuals and so far, musical quality. But the fact that the plots go against what the original series stablishes, I hate it. Also In the comics, THERE ARE SOME ARCS THAT "OH GOSH, WHAT THE HELL THEY WERE THINKING ABOUT", like the madeleine/Jean dilema, and even as I dont like that in comics, I wonder WHY of all arcs they had to take the most controversial and weird, for the animated show.
That being said I was thinking also HOW they could bring my cajun back, and the 1st thing I wanted is time traveling. At least I dont think that Remys Heroic act would be "less heroic" if he does exactly the same but dont die in the process. You know? If this time instead of exploding alone, Kurt comes to take him out, and the centinel is destroyed. That also saves all the Genoshansa and he could be heavily injured but not dead. Also another way I read was also the Celestials using the "siege perile" gem. To bring Gambit back because I just read that IT WAS GIVEN TO THE XMEN for defeating "the adversary", and we just had Ororo doing that. So maybe Ororo's prize and REMYS REWARD FOR HIS SACRIFICE could be a way to bring him back without something dark that will tarnished his heroic image. In fact to be "resurrected" as a prize for your heroic act, its a confirmation that a greater force knows your true value. Also I like the idea of Ororo's saving Remy's life, because we have not seeing Yet Ororo's reaction to Remy's death and that is FOR ME important, because in comics Storm and Gambit share such a lovely brother/sister relationship. I LOVE how Storm "hate" when Remy calls her STORMY and then he gives her a kiss on the cheek. Remy saved Ororo when she was lost and without memories, turned a child. And it was her who bring Remy to the Xmen. So I want to see Storm reaction to the news.
The other options I dislike them a lot. The ones most guys wants for "the power" is the horseman, but I HATE THAT story, because not only Remy had to SUFFER A LOT in the whole process physically and mentally, but he has to suffer to get rid of it, and had to associate himself with evil Sinister. Also the thing with him "trying to kill Rogue"..I HATE that plot. The sinister and violent thing will TARNISH ALL HIS HEROIC DOINGS If they are going to bring him back in such a dishonorable way, THEN AS WELL IS BETTER IF CABLE ERASE EVERYTHING AND HE DOES NOTHING HEROIC. Because turn poor Remy into a Villian after all the BS this new series ahs done with him, would be so cruel.
Finally, the clonning: I HATE IT TOO, because A CLONE IS NOT THE SAME REMY. SORRY. Its like Maddie. She is not Jean Gray. Is another person who looks like her but is not her. I WANT IT TO BE THE SAME REMY we ever had. The one who had learned to trust on the xmen and to love Rogue. A clone.. would be a mock up, to the original, and that would be disrespectful.
Also I just read that in the incident with Bastion Remy and Phoenix when to find information in the facilities as spys. So they are taking Remys involvement in the issue...(Not fair with Remy again Disney).
If they get rid of Remy, the series just loses all the purpose, even more because I am afraid now that Magneto is alive, they are going to make Rogue AGAIN got he BS road. And that I REFUSE TO SEE AGAIN. Remy died for this effing drama, so to disrespect him with that ship would be the last nail in the coffin.
I agree. Rogue is my absolute favorite! Ever since she met Gambit they have been like a package deal. I know that stuff with Magento happened in the comics BEFORE she met Gambit, but there is absolutely zero hint of it in the original animated series. That is what bothers me about it the most. Plus I just don't like it. Lol He is too old for her.
The way it looks now Gambit is not going to be brought back this season or will show up at the very end as Death. I hated him as Death.....and then having to work for Mr. Sinister again....yuck.
I agree with you about Gambit being a clone- it wouldn't be the same. Just like Maddie is not Jean Grey. So I don't think they will use that option, but at this rate who knows. Lol
My pick is a Celestial bringing him back, but considering they shortened and watered down the battle with the Adversary I don't think it's going to go that way either. :( Which is a bummer because that's the way I would pick! Lol
