Fantastic car, I have 2015 Mercedes S550 and 2016 Cayenne diesel, and while both cars are incredibly built vehicles, I have to say Porsche is holding up for a hair better, seems like Porsche is built tighter and using better quality materials than Benz… after 8 years that car still looks and smells almost brand new … however, I wouldn’t trade my Benz or Porsche for nothing… love them both
I do have a similar Cayenne fabricated december 2010. I agree on most things said, it is a fantastic car. But Porsche should have made better attention to electronics. Just after buying it at about 120000 km the window-control in driver door gave up. Then the two backdoors doesn't release unlocking from key, have to maneuver them from front door. Then they work until locking the car. Also problem with passenger doorhandle in the winter, it kind of freezes. In Sweden, we have regulations to change tires winter/summer. The wheels are extremely heavy and bulky to handle. Summer tires are vastly consumed, probably because of car weight. As this is a diesel and my driving style is conservative, I think this cost is hard. But as some other "reviewer" of Cayenne said, the diesel delivers "a steady stream of power" and as Invictus said, cruise control ON is essential not to overspeed. Also problem to buy cellphone installation "bluetooth". Dealer accepted to install and had stuff sent from Porsche but it did not work. Had to go several times do dealer and they have had the wrong stuff delivered from Germany. "Ordnung muss nicht sein." After many problems with costs for both me and dealer it now works perfect. Motor consumes oil and coolant at 180000 km. The driver door mirror lost its glue but could be glued back, at least temporarily. Current problem is that after service at dealer 180000 km, the motor warning lamp in central instrument was lit up just 200 km after service. Phone call to to dealership resulted in I can drive the car responsibly for some weeks before we can check it.
Basheer question : Which would you buy 2013 Porsche Panamera or Cayenne similarly priced both 3.0 diesel with similar miles around 80,000 at around £19000?
That is very disappointing to hear. We have sold a number of these and have not had any issues with them. Then again, I guess cars are a bit of a pot luck
@@bethestandardallday driveshaft failing, various electrical issues, front control arms, adblue pump failure. Once car hit 75k miles all went downhill. Anyone want to buy it? Just put on new brakes - but not going to do driveshaft. Not worth it to me to sink 4k into a 15k car..
@@chrisceska9417 Are you referring to the Transfer Case or the drive shaft? You should have warranty on the transfer case with Porsche until 2024 so they'll replace it for free. Also, you need to do control arms, bushes on any large car. I've had to do the same repairs on my BMW X6, X5 and Mercedes ML.

The build quality of Porsche is amazing and much better than Benz esp the newer Benz

Thank you for the detailed experience of ownership
8:22 as an American driver this moment absolutely terrified me lol definitely used to my side of the road.
Haha I feel your pain. We drive on the left hand side in the rest of the Europe too
This particular unit of Porsche is almost bare bone, but kudos to you, if you managed to sell it for 17k.
We did manage to and I think it is decent value for what you get
I believe this one only has the 8-Way Power Seats. Not the 12-way seats as mentioned in the video. The 12-Way has 4 buttons not 2 on the seat.
It looks cool and that interior is beyond stunning
I agree, don’t like boring black interior. What do you drive?

I would buy a cayenne, it is more comfortable and generally more reliable
@@InvictusMotors thanks mate.
Own a 2014 diesel - after 75k miles nothing but issues - non engine related but all very expensive. Don’t do it

What issues

Amazing car, go for it. You won’t regret it
I’ve got a X5 2009 diesel,I’m going for a Cayenne,thanks 👍🏴
You will not regret. The build quality on the cayenne is top notch
@@InvictusMotors Thanks buddy

My pleasure, and let me know if you would like to see any other cars reviewed
