I love Afghani pendants, omg, you hit the motherlode with those spectacular treasures of the ancients. My favorites but again, I can never pick from your hauls because you select such beauties. The dzi beads in all their difference incarnations, the Roman glass (I have a few pieces at home) I wish we had a bead show like yours in New York. Sigh. I'll have to trek out some day.

OMG.... Brittany. Those African Vintage brass Scrolls with all the dangles hanging from it. I believe thats all I would have gotten is those. Because it's rare that u luck up on them. And there usually very expensive. AFRICAN THINGS, BEADS Is All I look for. How much where those?? No words do I have right now to Express how much I LOVE them. Exquisite!!!! ❤

Your submarine shape pendents are old style prayer boxes. They would put prayers inside and wear them.

The boomerang beads were my favorite beads. I've been to one bead show. Set a budget of $25 (unrealistic) and ended up spending $58. Worth every penny. We don't have many bead shows in North Carolina but lots of expensive retail stores. Most of my basics are bought on line. Thanks for the tour!
Roman glass is an obsession for me. The strands you bought are incredible and $10 for that size is a substantial deal. I love that you appreciate the Afghan pendants for their imperfections. Treasure them. They're fantastic!

Before covid I used to do a craft gem show but unfortunately since I was a vendor selling my handmade jewelry I never got to look around as I was only 1 at my booth!! Thanks so much for the vids too! Much love 💕 and hugs 🤗 from Melissa from Florida ( I haven’t been on in along time cuz I’ve been very sick for over a year (hospital stays , procedures, tests with way more tests procedures on the way plus half numb hands that I have braced do therefore haven’t made anything in a year! The metal pieces, I think we’re my favorite and then the boomerang beads! You always find such unique things! I’ve never been to a bead show and watching your video made me drool. I’d love to go at least see a show. I live in the middle of the Ozarks so, it probably won’t happen for me. On the other hand, it’s probably a good thing, because I’d go crazy buying! 😂🤣. Great haul, the Roman glass beads are so pretty 😍 can you give some examples of what a bead show price is for African beads vs regular retail price? I want to get more African beads but I'm pretty clueless. I bought two strands at the bead show I went to and each strand was $10 😟idk if that's bad or not.. it was my first bead show ever. thanks for sharing as always 😄 Goldie is so cute 😍

Hello those submarine style things are actually tawiz/taweez pendants. It is actually an amulet with usually a prayer scroll. Jewellery like that is very common here in South Asia.

The Afghan beads are amazing!!! I love the sounds, like music, when you handle them. I don't think I could ever use them in a piece of jewelry. I would somehow showcase them at home. They're a piece of history and with the way things are right now, these will be harder and harder to get! I love everything you bought. I adore African beads and Dzi beads as well. I've been to the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show every year, until this year, probably since about 2012 but I always went with a friend who is a sea shell dealer so we only ever looked at sea shells and rocks (which I also love). But never got to look at any beads!!!!!!!!! But then again, I was a bead weaver for about 20 years and have turned around and am almost strictly a bead stringer now, which means I've spent a lot of $ making a fantastic bead stash in the last year! Yikes! I love all of your videos!

My favorites were the Roman glass strands. I would have gone crazy in that booth. Haven’t been to a bead show in years and certainly not to the scale of these Tucson ones. I’d love to go to one of these. Are you on some sort of mailing list to get notified of all these different shows? Love, love your haul!!
