So so great to see the SLO continue the work of the velorution, started even before the 90's when the Sierra Club and the Alternative Transportation Task Force formed and drafted a bike element to the master plan and got a city and county bike committee formed and bike coordinators hired.
Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles. Safe protected bike lanes and traails are needed so adults and children can ride safely. Speak up for bicycles in your community.
Individuals, politicians and corporations all need to do more to protect the planet from climate change. Stop using fossil fuels. Stop using pesticides, add solar energy to your home or business, buy an electric vehicle, eat more fruit and vegetables and less meat and dairy, plant a tree, recycle everything. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Donate to non profits fighting for a better future. Support and elect climate leaders. Every child should plant a tree, bush or flowers wiith a parent or teacher. It will help connect them to nature and the environment.
I don't agree on "climate action" the climate has always changed.. literally there was the medieval warm period and the little ice age. Also, Mars and other planets are warming at a similar rate Earth is.. Is that because of human activity on those planets also, or perhaps the giant glowing ball of helium in the sky we call the sun going through cycles?

All say mission accomplished when they put a protected bike lane on Madonna. Or even better, a non street adjacent bike path say through Laguna Park
