I feel like the reviewers owe it to our audience to do an Indian context comparison. Most roads are totally broken, most cities are congested and most people do not want their tyres burst and alloys bent due to the bad undulations. My 2er had two tyres cut on the Punjab highway at a meagre 100 kph due to a 3” sudden undulation. As a person considering a 5, the “ugly” fat wheels make sense, so does the lwb, so does a ~260 bhp ICE engine and so does a lack of sunroof. Sure the blinds could have been better but some people like the openness the glass has to offer. The ICE LWB makes more sense for India any day!
ICE for my liking. I am forgetful and my plans are sudden so I am not confident that my car will be 100 percent charged when I need to rush or start for an unplanned trip❤❤
Frankly, would love a regular wheelbase high performance pure ICE. I can't just fathom that the automakers are making such bad cars these days. Would really love to see some good quality pure ICE cars, beautifully designed like the last gen and the ones before
Yes ICE over EVs any day. At least until range anxiety is resolved. But that aside, EVs feel soulless. I went to the airport a few months back from my house in a Tata Tigor EV. Good vehicle but it felt soulless and felt like a boat. I never felt the boat like sensation in an ICE. I like the grunt of ICE , the sounds, the mechanics. It's way more interesting than batteries (yes battery technologies require effort but nowhere close to what's required for an engine, gearbox, suspension, chassis etc). And when it comes to tech in vehicles: you can have an IoT enabled vehicle even without massive dashboards. I have the very first Seltos. I like that because it's a simple 8 inch screen. The buttons still remain. I set the destination on my phone for maps, set the music to play, and connect Apple carplay. We shouldn't have more than 8 inch. I don't like cars turning into gadgets.
Wait till you face electronic troubles. XUV had a lot. Personally as a car lover, i don't like cars turning into gadgets. We can have an IoT enabled cars even without fat ass digital screens. A simple 8 inch is more than enough. Connected tech doesn't mean killing buttons in the car in the name of modernity. This is for all brands. Not only m&m. Even new Mercs, BMWs, BYDs etc
The car is literally hugging the road. The ground clearance may not be suitable for our road conditions in comparison to suitablilty of upholstery color
Would you pick a high performance EV or medium performance ICE? Let us know in the comments
ICE always

Great cinematography, editing, and articulation.
Which road is this being shoot??
How does this compare to Byd seal? Both have 3.8s 0-100 and both are on 100% import tax.

The BYD is incredible VFM, but the BMW has better fit finish, interior quality and brand value

👍 Good editing & presentation
Thank you😊
It does look really cool & those wheels are so good looking specially compared to the hideous ones in the long wheel base 5 series.
We need 540i b58 inline 6 ❤
We need proper infrastructure first. Forget these cars for now.
Heyow evo India, do the BMW i5 Vs BMW M5 comparison pls.
Thanks for the suggestion, we shall do it.
Byd seal AWD laughing in the corner
👍
M540i Please 😅
The m5 the rest is all floss
One of the worst looking cars ever in the BMW lineup of cars.
Interiors and infotainment look outdated as compared to Mahindra EVs
At this cost , bmw can't survive here with their EVs

The car didn’t ground out anytime during our test, and we drove it over all sorts of road conditions
