As I said in another video dedicated to Zeke, his first early elimination in Island was fine even if I do also feel he wasn’t the best selection for that position, but his World Tour elimination just felt incredibly forced, like they just put that in for the sake of having a running gag that otherwise felt pretty tasteless than funny.

Honestly the more I look at that scene, I get that with it being the VERY FIRST elimination ever, the creative team wanted to try and put a twist so it wouldn’t seem obvious from the start that Courtney could have been the first boot, but I find it frustrating how it was placed in at the last minute rather than having Zeke say these comments throughout the episode so that the viewers could get a better hunch that there was a very good chance he could be going home first.
It’d be one thing if throughout the episode he tried to “help” the girls by showing that “men are stronger than women” and that led to tensions throughout the episode, and him blaming the girls for their loss during dinner time was the straw that broke the camel’s back, but it really felt like with the final product it was just thrown in at the last second for the sake of giving Courtney more time to shine as a character, who could have easily been eliminated first and then come back later in the merge to give her character more time to shine if it meant Zeke could make it just a little bit farther even if eliminated before the merge.
This is a similar issue I have with Eva’s first elimination in Island. All it took was her raging at the last minute over her mp3 player being stolen to get her eliminated, and then she returns just to be eliminated the same day. It felt cheap.

Personally I’m more convinced they only “apologized” because they know they got a lot of flack for what happened to his character and only did it to try and paint a good image on themselves.
I might sound like a pessimistic asshole saying this, but in the end, the damage was already done to his character, and there’s a slim chance I ever see him returning to his human self and competing again and making it further.
At that Peter Oldring didn’t even get a chance to voice Cody at all in DramaRama. Who knows if he’d have a chance to voice Zeke again if he were to return to human.
Honestly the fact that he lived on a farm shows he’s probably done a lot of hard labor when he’s not otherwise being home-schooled by his parents.
It’s a case where he just unfortunately had a bad case of poor decision making and…….. yeah, look where it led him. 😕

The way Chris was talking to and acting towards Ezekiel was just him being Fresh TV’s mouth piece to show disdain for how they felt on his fans if anything.

I've always thought he'd be an interesting "underdog" character, at least more interesting than characters like Beth (like seriously don't know why the writers decided she'd make it so far in Season 2). I'll never understand why they decided to make him a really low effort punching bag.
