Sad I didn't see this a couple days ago while I was in the Duluth area. I have been contemplating starting a makerspace in my area. Our local school districts have all but cut all shop/home economic classes. It would be nice to give students or anyone, a space, and the means to create. It would have been nice to pop in to get an idea on where to start also some more inspiration!
I am at the cyberia Makerspace in Indianapolis we are fairly large but we are trying to grow what has been the most important piece of equipment that you have to gain members
MotherEric they are we just got a big laser so that is our biggest draw right now but we all so have a Grant for like 8 steam engines 3d printers but as of right now we out geting rid of most of them they just brake down to easy so we can buy 3 or 4 Rosstock ones

I am not an expert so feel free to correct me, but I heard on another video 3d printers are a good crowd drawer.
