i think min lapping length of reinforcement is 50d not 75 mm

50d is an formula not a length ....and the formula changes according to the beam, column...etc

50 Dai is enough most of times. Depends on codes too. Min is to resist the maximum of tensile of compressive force due to axial and bending ... There is a formula for bond stress if you want to get this length. 75 is not a good answer.
