I've got only one question: HOW did korean newspapers appear in a factory in Pakistan???
I was wondering that also!

Through scrap
Di indonesia juga banyak koran korea. Entah dari mana

What kind of epoxy was used to hold the rock pieces together so well?
Using both hands on the lathe at the same time to smoothly form those curves was mind-blowing to watch.
I thought about that as well, it takes a lot of skill to have each hand working at the same time but totally different ways, they are very talented.
this guy taking care of the cup like a litllle baby
Yes poor hygiene. He is using his left hand. 😁😁😁
He mastered his etch-a-sketch at a young age
These guys are crazy talented but it's so scary watching them working with that dangerous equipment with no sort of protection! 😟
The lathe operator has some serious skill.
Thanks for comment sir
It's called freehanding, and takes years of practice. His work is definitely good, not the best I've seen (I've personally done some very decorative scrollwork that puts these large simple shapes to shame), but nevertheless they make a fine product and I'd actually like to own one of these.
@@TheExplosiveGuy where can I watch your video?
And he makes $2 a week. Poor fucker.
@@tuhinshaikh3581 I don't have any videos of it, this was years ago when I was working as a machinist.
Nice, but it won't last long. Alabaster I think.
This is Pakistan.

Fantastic .., I would buy those glasses / they should put a link here. How they worked that fast without injuring themselves is itself amazing !
It's not a glass its a cup silly
@@jager6903 : You’re embarrassing yourself. Can’t you read ? Read the name of this video.. The makers of them call them ‘glasses’ WINE GLASSES
@@crystalawen whatever they may call, it is not glass.
@@vkkulkarni8288 : ? Make your own video ... They can call ‘their glasses’ what they want.
@@crystalawen the fact remains they are not glasses, cups only as suggested by some one!
😯 Que super cola! Artesanato em pedra, lindo! Espero que tenha um valor justo.

Damn these dudes made a cutting blade from an arbor press ram.
Lot of effort....but I wonder if all the resources, pollution, wastage (I kn 👍🏽it's made from scraps) justify the end result
You sound like a spoiled privilege brat
@@davenguyen1860 far from it(although I wish I was 😋) but I have made ENOUGH things from SCRAP...with FAR less effort AND RESOURCES and have turned out FAR FAR better...my interest is the ecological footprint this leaves .... apparently you missed that AND have no taste at all ❤️

Would love to see more of this but with the operator wearing safety goggles and breathing mask. Very talented lathe operator.
I think the guy who puts the paint on the blocks was on the saw before ha ha, from canada quebec
No words to describe their art which is precise and highly sophisticated.
They deserve high cost for their job.
Imagine to invest in modern equipment and bring it to this country and hire these workers to operate it.
What is your view. Would a million dollars be ok. 😕😕😕
This is so interesting and immensely beautiful. I have seen marble artificats in Indian palaces and I have always wondered how they were made and I'm sure the artisans back in olden ages were so so skilled in india to have mastered this craft. This is beautiful art. And so expensive to buy 😜
This is pakistani video
And the Marble. Work you see in India
Is done by irani artists.
They were brought in Mughal Era.
They teach Indians
Believe it or not they learned from the Italian artisans that worked on the Taj Mahal.
@@cutegirls6947 Italian not Irani.
This is Pakistan no India.

It's time to think about worker health and safety.
Is this pure stone/ marble? So this is vessel glass. I thought it's silica glass! Interesting though. What about ceramic Pottery?
Marble is also a stone. And it is pure marble.

What kinda glue are they using? That's a lot of time and material to make a glass!
I was wondering how to turn stone into glass, turns out he meant a cup or jar 🤣
Que trabalho lindo...Parabéns
Oops....looks like someone got a little careless with the knife!
AMAZING... I am wondering about how much money this talented handsome man will get from that beautiful piece.
Red and green fancy decoration is desired for the USA's December Holidays. This cup would look good on a Christmas Table.
Great craftsmanship but I would certainly not be drinking out of that considering you'll be tasting that bond or glue that they use. Hard to ignore Proposition 65.
And so, in a single beaker, Art and Craftmanship meet. Beautiful work, I thank you for sharing this.
Ye very costly items..lowest cost item Chinese and Indian products...full quality product 👌
Chapeau, da verdadero placer ver cómo trabajan estos fenomenales artesanos. Mis más sinceras felicitaciones. Saludos cordiales desde Sevilla.
Amazing skill and I can really appreciate that as a fully trained engineer. But one thing. This machinist needs to wear a mask and eye protection. The danger to his eyes and lungs is real. He will suffer later in life with some form of silicosis and may even have micro damage to his eyes. I would like him to continue his work until he is an old man but if he doesn't wear protection that's not going to happen and that would be very sad.
@@Yeti809 You might be mixing up India and Russia. Artisans and other Artists in India are rarely if ever slaves. But as in Russia where I spent 3 years working there is a very casual and dismissive attitude to safety. Its a personal choice not enforced. However in Russia I saw workers earning peanuts whilst making their masters millions and they did know better but how do you kick back when the result is either starvation or death.
I'm in awe at the level of craftsmanship displayed here.
Thanks for your appreciation
One wrong step can ruin this master piece
The hand made industry is vanishing day by day because they can't earn according to their hard work.
The glue used is so powerful enough to hold the stone with metal 😱
These onyx pieces are available in many countries, people exiting from Pakistan buy as souvenir from the shops at airports....
I was going to say mind your fingers and here we are am so sorry it is risky indeed nice but ....hhhhmmm

What is the mineral that is used?
Not my idea of beautiful but very clever. Im impressed with the glues uses especially on the mandrel. Stay away from my lathe though :)

Okay, it might just be me, but the green and red epoxy (?) ruins this for me. It looks hideous. Also makes me wonder if it's safe to actually drink from these.
