Hi ya , I also have a similar soft spot for handplanes ,type 13 American Stanleys did not have any orange background behind the logo on the lever cap , type 13 are easily identified by a single patent date behind the frog , so the plane you showed may be correct , nice collection , the affliction you speak about can turn into an addiction and I'm down that rabbit hole 🤣😂🤣
