Thank you MoStreet once again! Been constantly checking since Saturday night if the videos are up... 🤙👍 We've been fortunate and blessed to witness WASF memories in the past through your videos...
Job well done to the ILH Poly Club! So proud of the kids for such an amazing performance... All your long hours of practice and getting scoldings from your instructors/advisors paid off; YOU DID GREAT!
A HUGE FA'AMĀLÕ to the instructors and advisors for putting together an awesome program and mentoring our kids... It's not an easy task, but we applaud your hard work and the 110% effort and dedication you put into doing it... Your deep pride in our Samoan culture and sharing it with our kids, is what draws them so close to the Poly Club and We Are Samoa every year. May the Lord continue to bless you with His God-given talents...

A missionary that is currently serving in our ward here Mesa Arizona, talked to him today, said he was in this performance from last year 2019. He went to school at Kamehameha, his name Elder Guthrie but I don’t know where he is on the performance because I have seen him yet. We talked on the phone

It was so hard to enjoy this dance with the blatant disrespect for the Tatau o Samoa being stenciled on these boys. Something so integral and precious to us shouldn’t be DRAWN on for temporary enjoyment. Especially for a costume for a performance. Incredibly disrespectful. Especially for an event that’s supposed to celebrate Samoan culture and tradition, they have a weird way of spitting on it in the name of “respect.”

These are students between the ages of 13-18 learning the culture as well. You see stencil but you dont see what was taught to these students before performing to the audience. Disrespect 🙄 ok foh 🤷🏾‍♂️

@@enilee3161 It’s funny how you’re supporting the students decision to spit on something as sacred as the pe’a. I guess they’re weren’t taught exactly how important the Malofie of Samoa is because here they are stenciling designs that are to be tattooed, that are to be unique to each wearer, that our ancestors and chiefs have died for to keep alive... they should be old enough to know and so should you.
Complete disrespect for a measina o Samoa. Stenciling it. Stenciling the tattoo that has survived for thousands of years just so a couple BOYS can feel special for thirty minutes? Disgrace. I could only imagine if you dared to stencil a malu. Honestly, disgusting how this was allowed at a SAMOAN FESTIVAL.
I bet you’re also the type to allow people to actually go out and tattoo the malu or pe’a on themselves despite not having any titles to their name. “Go ahead and get our most sacred tattoos that only certain people in our culture are blessed to receive so you can feel validated.”

@@charlespouono2103 oh god not this sacred tattoo bullshit ... i bet youre the type of person who will cover those very certain ppl whos caused division in the villages and families back in samoa. Youre a disgrace who protects culture before protecting innocent young ones whos been molested/raped by the very ones who you protect bc they have this sacred tattoo on their body that you solely protect. Know who to protect before stating whats important for the culture. Periodt!
