As an RN, filipino nurses were the nicest, most helpful, and sweetest ones I've ever worked with 😭 i actually put them on the highest echelon of nurses. When i got out of nursing school and was lost AF on the med/surg floor, it was 3 filipino nurses who assisted me, orientated me, and invited me to sit with them on lunch. They never spoke in tagalog without saying what they said, and when they did, they would teach me their language by saying it in tagalog then in english. I worked with a male for 6 years in the county government; every time he went out with an all black crew. He rush back to the office and tell everything we did and talk about. We caught him in the office many of times; funny thing in the end he loss his job over one question. Was he taking his palm colored wife back to the Philippines when he retired. After telling a bunch of palm colored people he was sitting up to move back in retirement. He said, no he was leaving his palm color wife in America " Smh ". As an RN, filipino nurses were the nicest, most helpful, and sweetest ones I've ever worked with 😭 i actually put them on the highest echelon of nurses. When i got out of nursing school and was lost AF on the med/surg floor, it was 3 filipino nurses who assisted me, orientated me, and invited me to sit with them on lunch. They never spoke in tagalog without saying what they said, and when they did, they would teach me their language by saying it in tagalog then in english. One actually persuaded me to go back for my RN (i was an LPN when i started) and threw me a party when i passed the NCLEX

I worked with a male for 6 years in the county government; every time he went out with an all black crew. He rush back to the office and tell everything we did and talk about. We caught him in the office many of times; funny thing in the end he loss his job over one question. Was he taking his palm colored wife back to the Philippines when he retired. After telling a bunch of palm colored people he was sitting up to move back in retirement. He said, no he was leaving his palm color wife in America " Smh ". I knew then his butt was grass; three weeks later a palm colored man got in a fight with him " groups blamed him " Fired !!!

To the girl who said that Filipinos are not white, yes we are not. We are mostly brown/tan. But some of us are actually white. Not the pale white of a Caucasian but the white similar to East Asians. Go to the Cordilleras and see. We also have black Filipinos, but its inaccurate to also say that our ancestors were black. We are every color, we are diverse, and this is beautiful. But yes, many Filipinos are racist.

i'm surprised that these foreigners are claiming her win created an uproar in the country. A few percentage of these people who opposed her win was merely pageant fans who have their own favorites to win. I thought her win was very much welcomed in the country. We celebrated her win and still are. The black Filipinos they were talking about here are part of the indigenous peoples who ofcourse deserve respect. One more thing, who claims we are white? we are absolutely not. We are generally fair skinned, brown at that.
